The following are among the highlights of today's Ross Report, which is available at the WWE website.

-Ross explained how the company determined which developmental wrestlers to cut. "The cuts came as a result of the feedback from several people, including those from the talent relations department, creative, and our agents," Ross wrote. "Jim Cornette and Danny Davis of Ohio Valley Wrestling were also in the loop."

-WWE is hoping to recruit more amateur wrestlers due to the success Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar have had.

-Ross disputed internet rumors claiming he and Jerry Lawler were upset that Michael Cole and Tazz were given announcing time during the Vengeance PPV. "Those who report otherwise are, unfortunately, ill informed or simply ignorant.

-Ross explained that wrestlers from both Raw and Smackdown will be appearing at the show in Melbourne, Australia because the company had to acquire work visas prior to current storylines being created.

-Among the wrestlers scheduled to make Tough Enough 3 guest appearances are The Rock, Ric Flair, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Bradshaw, Trish Stratus, Tommy Dreamer, Sgt. Slaughter, and Rey Mysterio. Ross also noted that Hugh Morrus's coaching demeanor "is that of a tough defensive line coach."

-Ross said the company has had no official talks with Steve Austin since June 10.

-Ross said he it took him "all of two weeks" to get comfortable with where the Raw announce table is positioned.

-Nothing new on the Goldberg front.

-Kanyon is feeling much better and is resting at home. He lost 25 lbs. while he was sick and in intensive care. Ross expects him to make a full recovery and return to the ring eventually.

-Kane will be returning shortly.

-Tommy Young, Jackie Crockett, and Rene Goulet were backstage at Raw.

-Ross issued his condolences to Jim Cornette and his family for the loss of his mother.

-The October international tour will make stops in Finland, Northern Ireland, and Manchester, England.

-Ross will be spending some vacation time in Florida next week.
