[Q1] Pre-credits video recaps the Beat The Clock challenge from last week, which ended in Adrian Neville booked to face Sami Zayn tonight in a number one contender match.

Yoshi Tatsu hits the ramp for his first appearance in quite a long time. He is facing Antonio Cesaro, in what could be a very good match if given ample time. Cesaro bullies Byron Saxton (ring announcer) pre-match, causing William Regal (who is with Tom Philips and Renee Young) to go pulls Saxton from the ring.

1 - YOSHI TATSU vs. ANTONIO CESARO

Cesaro is still distracted by Regal, letting Tatsu get a quick cover, but Cesaro kicks out. Tatsu wants a spinning heel kick, but Cesaro catches him mid-air and lands a casual one-armed slam. Regal says that he doesn't want Cesaro to not be able to sleep when he gets older and grows and conscience like Regal does.

Twenty-three rotation Cesaro Swing, and Cesaro keeps eying Regal. Uppercut to the back of Tatsu's head, then the chinlock. Tatsu fades to the chinlock and Cesaro hits the Neutralizer while staring down Regal.

WINNER: Antonio Cesaro in 4:00. Okay match to set up a Cesaro-Regal conflict.

Devin Taylor with a backstage interview of Bo Dallas. He is all smiles. Instead of picking a winner between Neville and Zayn, he says we are all winners, but neither one can beat them. He will mentor the challenger anyways. C.J. Parker does his photobombing routine, which riles Dallas. Dallas says he didn't know Parker was still employed, and asks "Pauly Shore" when the last time he won a match. Parker challenges him to a match. Dallas is flabbergasted and accepts.

[Q2] Philips lets us know that Dallas has 188 days as champion, an NXT record. Has it really been that long? NXT's habit of limiting the non-title matches for their champions go a long way to make them not wear out their welcomes.

2 - NXT champion BO DALLAS vs. C.J. PARKER - non-title match

Parker wants a quick win. The crowd is torn between a "No More Bo" and "We Want Breeze" chant. Dallas with early advantage, but Parker escapes a cravat and makes Dallas loopy with punches. Parker to the top, but the woozy Dallas staggers into the ropes, accidentally crotching Parker. Dallas manages a bulldog off the ropes for the win.

WINNER: Bo Dallas in 3:00. Another in the series of matches that Dallas has won by accident.

Devin Taylor interviews Emma. Emma says that she was attacked by the BFFs in the locker room and has a head injury. She vows to return in good condition. Paige interrupts to say that this means that Emma will have no more excuses when she loses her title match. Emma denies making excuses, but Paige brings up Emma accidentally hitting her. Emma says she doesn't like Paige's tone. Paige says that Emma shouldn't make any sudden movements in her condition.

Scott Stanford announces Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero) vs. Tyler Breeze next.

Backstage, Paige is playing with a phone, then Natalya comes in. They argue over the way Paige has treated Natalya and Natalya's attitude since she has been on "Total Divas." Paige says that Natalya does not care about being a Diva or the Divas Championship. Paige offers Natalya a championship match and Natalya accepts.

Breeze makes his entrance. Ohno gets blindsided by Alexander Rusev on his way to the ring. One hit puts Ohno down hard. Breeze gleefully records it all. Ohno convinces the ref and the trainer that he is ready.

3 - KASSIUS OHNO vs. TYLER BREEZE

Breeze with an instant Beauty Shot on the stunned Ohno for the win.

WINNER: Tyler Breeze in 0:10. Another step in building a win streak for Breeze, and preparing for Ohno's departure.

Backstage, the BFF's are evaluating pictures of men on a phone. Charlotte with a much upgraded look. Charlotte leaves and Bayley comes in demanding to speak with Charlotte. Summer Rae and Sasha Banks blow her off. Bayley says she will show them in a tag match, but Banks and Rae can't believe she even has anyone to partner with.

Devin Taylor interviews Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn. The both play the mutual respect card. Neville plays up the importance of the NXT Championship in advancing your career. Zayn agrees. Zayn says that he will do anything to get the title, and they briefly argue over who wants it more. Wow, do I miss Renee Young.

[Q3]

4 - NXT tag champions THE ASCENSION (CONOR O'BRIAN and RICK VICTOR) vs. HUNICO & CAMACHO vs. - non-title match

Victor and Camacho start it. Victor easily controls the match. Camacho uses headbutts to make a comeback. Hunico in, but Victor is able to cut him off with a clothesline and tag O'Brian in. Camacho gets cleared from the ring. Hunico reverses a tilt-a-whirl move with a rollup for the win.

WINNERS: Hunico and Camacho in 4:00. This feels like an unannounced face turn to present a credible challenger to the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Another video reminds us of how we ended up with Neville against Zayn. As Neville makes his entrance, Tom Philips tells us that Regal has been called to the back to address the Cesaro situation. Bo Dallas has joined the booth.

5 - ADRIAN NEVILLE vs. SAMI ZAYN - #1 Contender Match for the NXT Championship

They shake early on. Neville with some fantastic tricks to escape a wrist lock. Zayn with some gorgeous arm drags, but refuses to take advantage of Neville in the corner. Neville takes his time recovering. Zayn gets sent outside, but slips into the ring to surprise Neville as Neville prepares to go over the ropes.

[Q4] Now Neville is outside and Zayn follows with a big dive over the ropes.

[ Commercial Break ]

The two are still going back and forth out of the break. Zayn with a big backbreaker, and he lets Neville get to a corner to recover. He tries to follow with a boot in the corner, but seems to trip as Neville ducks and Zayn lands outside the ring. Neville follows with a springboard moonsault to the outside. Zayn gets turned inside out by a missile dropkick. Zayn can barely walk.

Neville backflips to Zayn, but Zayn plucks him out of the air to deliver a spinning Doctor Bomb for a close nearfall. Zayn with a second big bomb for another nearfall. Zayn gets clipped in the face with a boot when trying a cross-ring corner charge. Neville with backflips, gets caught, and transitions it into a huracanrana into a cover for a nearfall.

Zayn barely gets to his feet to keep Neville from going to the top, but a roundhouse puts him on the mat again. Zayn meets Neville at the ringpost before Neville can set up the Red Arrow. Neville blocks a superplex and sends Zayn crashing down. Red Arrow and Neville with the win.

WINNER: Adrian Neville in 11:30. Very good match between Zayn and Neville, with a number of great sequences, and a lot on the line. The face-vs-face nature made it tough to cheer for either one, but the match itself was quite solid. Does this set up a Zayn heel turn? Does Neville capture the gold? How do we get to Dallas vs. Zayn, if ever?

Post-match, Neville offers a handshake. Zayn thinks about it, lightly kicks his hand away to the crowd's displeasure, then gives him a huge hug. Nice tease of a heel turn there, that was easy to buy into.

Final Reax: Lots of moving parts here. Paige acts nearly rabid, the BFFs have some new intrigue, and who is Bayley's new partner? Will Neville beat Dallas? Where does Zayn go from here? Are Hunico and Camacho actually faces now? And where is Cesaro-Regal headed?
