Kurt Angle talks potential return to the ring

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Kurt Angle will not let go of his dream to have a professional MMA fight. Whether or not a fight actually happens at the age of 46 remains to be seen.

Angle said during the Bellator 145 broadcast on Spike TV that he wants to enter the cage for his first MMA fight.

“I’m not going to tease everybody, but there is a possibility,” Angle said. “We’ll see. I’m getting my feet wet here at Bellator, I’m going to have a good time, I’m going to sit back for once in my life and watch, and eventually I’ll make that decision.”

Prior to the semi-announcement, Angle talked about wishing the money was right to enter MMA in the late 1990s, instead of going to pro wrestling. Angle said he doesn’t regret going to wrestling, but he regrets not fighting.

“Here I am standing at 46-years-old and I don’t have one fight,” Angle said.

Angle made the comments at the announce table prior to Bobby Lashley’s squash victory against James Thompson.

Angle was not done for the night, though. Later in the show, Angle appeared on-stage with Ken Shamrock to tease a potential future fight. But, Angle was there to introduce Royce Gracie, who will fight Shamrock on February 19 in Houston.
