(1) RICKY SOSA vs. BRIAN MYERS (w/Bear Bronson)

Sosa opened the match with a series of punches. Myers quickly turned the tables and went on offense. Sosa came back with offense of his own, including a powerslam and a moonsault. Sosa booted Bear off the apron. Myers used the distraction to get a two count on Sosa. Sosa dropkicked Myers, who was going for the Roster Cut. Sosa knocked Cedric Alexander off the apron. As Bear distracted the referee, Myers went to hit Sosa with the X Division Title belt, but Leon Slater took it away. Sosa hit Myers with a running uppercut and got the pin.

WINNER: Ricky Sosa in 7:00.

(D.L.’s Take: Fast paced opener. Sosa continues to build momentum with a series of key wins.)

-After the match, Slater got on the mic and challenged Alexander again to a title match. Slater said that Alexander is a scared, jealous, little bitch. Slater said he would give whatever it takes to get the match. Alexander said he would put the title on the line, but Slater would have his X Division Title reign erased if he loses. Slater agreed to the match at Lockdown.

-Gia Miller interviewed Rich Swann and BDE. They have a mystery partner tonight (who Mustafa Ali said cannot be Jason Hotch). Swann and BDE talked about facing Mustafa Ali and Order 4 tonight. They didn’t reveal the partner. [c]

-AJ Francis was in the studio recording a song. He was interrupted by Elijah. Elijah challenged him to a match at Lockdown. A producer appeared and asked AJ what was wrong. Apparently, Elijah was an illusion. Or something. Let’s move on…

-Moose came to the ring for a promo. This was billed as “The Face of the Franchise’s Speech.” It was Moose’s imitation of Frankie’s “The King’s Speech” segments. Moose had sunglasses and a scarf like Frankie. He took them off then resumed his speech. Moose said that the fans were his special guest. He ran down his own accolades. He was interrupted by Frankie, who eventually got in the ring. Moose attacked Frankie after he was called a miserable father. They brawled and security broke them up. Frankie eventually fled up the ramp. [c]

(2) RICH SWANN & BDE & TREY MIGUEL vs. MUSTAFA ALI & AGENT ZERO & JOHN SKYLER (w/Tasha Steelz & Mila Moore)

The returning Trey Miguel was revealed as the mystery partner of Swann and BDE. He received an enthusiastic reception. Trey and Skyler started the match. The babyface team sent Order 4 out of the ring. [c]

Trey made a big comeback on Order 4. Trey hit the Lightning Spiral on Skyler and got the pin.

WINNERS: Trey Miguel & Rich Swann & BDE in 9:00.

After the match, Zero gave Trey a chokebomb. Ali urged him to do it again. Jason Hotch ran in for the save.

(D.L.’s Take: Trey looked great in his return to action after an injury. With the push towards underutilized talent, Trey is a prime candidate for a big push and title contention.)

-Xia Brookside ordered around the makeup lady.

-The Injury Report featured Jason Hotch, Trey Miguel, Matthew Rehwoldt interrupted to say that Nic Nemeth is in pristine condition. [c]

-Xia Brookside was mad that the makeup lady ruined her face. Elayna Black emerged behind her and revealed that she had switched places and had done the makeup job. They fought.

(3) INDI HARTWELL vs. M BY ELEGANCE (w/The Elegance Brand)

This was a semi-final match in the TNA Knockouts TV Title tournament. The match was back and forth, until it was interrupted by Elayna Black and Xia Brookside brawling from the back. M used the distraction to hit a moonsault and get the pin to advance to the finals.

WINNER: M By Elegance in 7:00.

-Harley Hudson video segment. They showed footage of her winning a competition to get signed to TNA. She talked about her journey in TNA and how she moved to the U.S. She talked about being disappointed that Daria Rae wanted to cut her. She talked about facing Alisha Edwards next week with her career at stake. [c]

(4) KC NAVARRO vs. EDDIE EDWARDS (w/Alisha Edwards)

Members of Navarro’s family were in the audience. KC hit Eddie with a superkick and a 305 early. Eddie regrouped on the outside. KC gave Eddie a frog splash for a two count. Eddie recovered and threw KC into the ring post. Alisha argued with the referee. KC hit Eddie with a kendo stick, leading to the pin.

WINNER: KC Navarro in 3:00.

Bear Bronson attacked KC after the match. Brian Myers brought in a steel chair. Fabian Aicher, Jada Stone, and Ricky Sosa ran in for the save. Santino Marella came to the stage. He said the teams would face each other in a Lethal Lockdown match with weapons at Lockdown. [c]

-Allie continue to roam the hallways. She saw “The Struggle Is Real” written on a bathroom mirror.

-Jeff Hardy and Nic Nemeth did their ring entrances for the main event. McKenzie Mitchell did the in-ring introductions. Hardy brought his old custom title belt to the ring. [c]

(5) NIC NEMETH (c) vs. JEFF HARDY – TNA World Title match

They evaded each other’s moves early. Fans were solidly behind Hardy. Nemeth caught Hardy with a dropkick. Hardy did a dive to the outside on Nemeth. [c]

Nemeth dropped an elbow on Hardy for a two count. Hardy made a comeback with punches and an elbow drop. Nemeth threw Hardy into the corner and followed with a DDT for a two count. Hardy gave Nemeth a sit out powerbomb for a two count. Hardy gave Nemeth a Twist of Fate. Nemeth gave Hardy a superkick for a two count. Fans chanted “This is awesome!” Hardy gave Nemeth a cutter. Hardy went to the top rope and hit the Swanton, but Nemeth got his knees up. Nemeth escaped the Twist of Fate and gave Hardy the Danger Zone for the pin.

WINNER: Nic Nemeth in 14:00 to retain the TNA World Title.

(D.L.’s Take: This started off slow, but fans were into it by the end. I was surprised by the clean win. Good match.)
