[HOUR ONE]
-Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw opened with shots of the Canadian Tire Center before the broadcast ran down the evening’s card. Stephanie Vaquer, Big Cass, and The Vision were shown arriving at the arena.
-A recap aired from last week’s Bloodline segment.
-LA Knight kicked off the show, entering the ring to address the WWE Universe. Knight said he came out to talk about Roman Reigns, noting that Roman keeps sending family members to deal with him while insisting Knight doesn’t deserve a title shot. Knight reminded everyone that Roman created a number one contender’s tournament but conveniently barred Knight from qualifying. He added that the only family member Roman hadn’t thrown at him was Solo Sikoa. Solo then made his way out to thank Knight for last week’s assist. As the two mocked Jey Uso’s “warning shot” gesture, The Usos interrupted.
-Jimmy called Knight and Solo “funny guys” and warned Solo that problems were coming his way. Jey challenged Knight and Solo to a tag match, which both men accepted, setting the stage for later tonight.
-Highlights from the Luchador tournament recapped the action so far.
-Dragon Lee was shown warming up backstage.
-Stephanie Vaquer made her entrance for her match against Roxanne Perez. [c]
-Greaves hyped the upcoming double event this Sunday featuring AAA and NXT talent.
(1) STEPHANIE VAQUER vs. ROXANNE PEREZ (w/Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez)
A recap aired of Stephanie’s past run‑ins with The Judgment Day. The match opened with Perez dodging Vaquer before landing a vicious slap. Perez attempted a second slap, but Vaquer countered into an armbar. Vaquer controlled the pace until Raquel climbed onto the apron, creating a distraction. [c]
Perez regained momentum with an arm submission, but Vaquer reversed into one of her own. A backbreaker and back suplex set up Vaquer’s Devil’s Kiss. She followed with a dragon screw and double knees for a two count. Perez grabbed the apron, forcing the referee to fix it, allowing Roxanne to rake Vaquer’s eyes and hit a shining wizard for another near fall. Vaquer rolled out of a crossface and hit the SVB.
Raquel and Liv interfered as Stephanie climbed the ropes, prompting Becky Lynch to run out. Lynch and Vaquer nodded at each other after dispatching Raquel and Liv. Vaquer then lifted Perez and dropped her face‑first into her knees for the win.
After the match, Morgan tried to attack Stephanie but Lynch cut her off. Lynch and Vaquer shared a tense stare‑down before Becky exited.
WINNER: Vaquer in 13:00.
(Robert’s Recap: A rough start. Both women seemed out of sync early, though they eventually found their rhythm. They’re capable of much more, and hopefully this isn’t the last time they meet. The Women’s Championship picture is compelling right now, and this could easily evolve into a Triple Threat at the next major PLE.)
-Cole noted Je’Von Evans also has issues with The Judgment Day. Highlights aired of his confrontation with Big Cass.
-Rey Mysterio wished Rey Fenix luck backstage. Dominik and JD interrupted, with Dominik accusing Rey of treating everyone like his son except his actual son. He questioned why he wasn’t in the tournament. Rey told him plainly: Dominik isn’t a luchador. Je’Von Evans blindsided JD and Dominik, telling Rey that Big Cass was next.
-Rey Fenix made his entrance. [c]
(2) REY FENIX vs. DRAGON LEE – Semi-final to earn a World Title shot
The match started fast, with Lee taking control after a wrecking ball kick. Fenix responded with the Good‑Bye Amigo Kick and a springboard moonsault to the outside. Lee answered with a sharp German suplex and a dive over the ropes. [c]
Lee hit a sit‑down powerbomb for two. Fenix countered with a top‑rope moonsault for another near fall. The crowd erupted with “this is awesome” and “lucha libre” chants. Lee stomped Fenix while he was tangled in the ropes, then delivered a devastating cannonball on the announcers table. Fenix reversed Operation Dragon into a brainbuster. Lee hit a Styles Clash for a close two count. Fenix finished the match with a Mexican Muscle Buster.
WINNER: Fenix in 14:00 to advance to the tournament final
(Robert’s Recap: Easily the best match of the tournament and the best outing for both men in WWE. The cannonball spot looked brutal. The crowd started slow but ended fully invested. This performance should help both men connect more with WWE audiences.)

[HOUR TWO]
-A vignette teased Lola Vice’s debut on 9/14.
-Oba Femi prepared for his contract signing with Bron Breakker. [c]
-Penta and La Parka warmed up backstage.
-Pearce and Heyman stood in the ring for the contract signing. Heyman gave Pearce a strange look when introducing Oba. Femi and Heyman shook hands. Heyman then introduced Bron Breakker.
Breakker questioned who Oba thought he was calling himself “the future.” Bron claimed Oba only rose to the top because Bron was injured. Oba fired back, saying that if it were 2002 or 2015, Bron would be the face of WWE—but today, Oba is. Breakker warned Oba he’d drag him into the deep end.
Bron signed the contract and shoved it into Heyman’s chest. He taunted Oba, asking whether Oba would sign the contract or have his “daddy” Heyman do it. Heyman begged Bron to stop. Breakker shoved Heyman and attacked Oba.
Oba fought back, but Austin Theory ran in to help Bron. Theory held Oba as Bron set up for a spear, but Oba kicked Bron mid‑charge and knocked him out of the ring. Oba then launched Theory through a table, signed the contract, and threw it at Breakker as the crowd chanted for him.
-The Usos confronted Jacob Fatu backstage, telling him to stay in the back since he didn’t help during last week’s attack. Jacob said he follows Roman’s orders, not theirs. Jey insisted they’re captains now and Jacob must listen. Jacob didn’t like it.
-Je’Von Evans made his entrance for his match with Big Cass. [c]
-Cole plugged Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6 in Atlanta.
(3) BIG CASS vs. JE’VON EVANS
Evans showed more aggression than usual, but Cass’ power overwhelmed him early. A massive clothesline sent Evans over the top rope. Cole noted Cass’ anger stems from being released eight years ago. A sidewalk slam kept Cass in control. [c]
Evans dodged a corner splash and dove onto Cass outside, knocking him into the barricade. Evans leapt over the barricade to take Cass down and unloaded with punches. He hit the Red Dot, but when he went for the OG Cutter, Cass countered with a Big Boot for the win.
Dominik and JD attacked Evans afterward, with Dominik hitting a Frog Splash. Cass walked up the ramp with a bloody lip.
WINNER: Cass in 9;00.
(Robert’s Recap: A physical match. Evans’ aggression worked well for him. Cass still has ring rust, but more reps could make him a top heel on Raw. The post‑match attack should lead to a strong feud with Dominik and JD.)
-Jackie Redmond interviewed Sol Ruca, announcing her rematch with Raquel Rodriguez next week for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Iyo Sky offered support. Lyra Valkyria, in a better mood this week, suggested she face Raquel instead. Sol declined, telling Lyra to earn her shot.
-Penta made his entrance. [c]
(4) PENTA vs. LA PARKA – Semi-final match for a World Title match
La Parka’s entrance was not televised. Corey noted this was the third iteration of the character. Both men danced before the action began. Penta hit a tope con hilo; La Parka answered with a moonsault. A superkick from Penta led to the first near fall. A backstabber earned another. [c]
They traded chops. La Parka hit a powerslam and a satellite DDT for near falls. Penta hit the Penta Driver for two. La Parka met Penta on the top rope for a Spanish Fly. La Parka attempted the Bone Breaker, but Penta countered with The Sacrifice and a springboard Mexican Destroyer for the win.
WINNER: Penta in 9:00.
(Robert’s Recap: Commercial breaks hurt the flow, and La Parka clearly isn’t accustomed to WWE’s style. Some strikes didn’t land cleanly, and the pacing felt off. Still, Penta vs. Fenix in the finals should deliver.)
-Cole promoted Zuffa Boxing.
-Solo met with LA Knight backstage. Solo said he owed Knight for last week; Knight told him he didn’t owe him anything. [c]
-Corey plugged the AAA/NXT double event again. A vignette aired for Zilla Fatu.
-Gable and Pearce discussed Gable’s next challenger. Ethan Page confronted Gable, saying he also beat Rey Mysterio and deserved a title shot. Gable reminded him he tapped out in the same match.
-Cole and Greaves ran down next week’s Raw card.
-Highlights aired from Stephanie vs. Roxanne.
[HOUR THREE]
-Jackie Redmond interviewed Stephanie Vaquer about her upcoming title match against Liv in two weeks. Stephanie thanked Becky Lynch but said she doesn’t need her help.
-The Usos entered through the crowd for their match with Solo and Knight. [c]
(5) THE USOS vs. LA KNIGHT & SOLO SIKOA
Knight finished his entrance as the show returned. Solo followed. Jimmy and Knight opened the match. Knight controlled early and tagged Solo, who stomped Jimmy in the corner. Knight and Solo traded tags. Jimmy landed a hard right and tagged Jey. Stereo kicks from the twins dropped Solo near the announce table. [c/pip]
Jimmy tried to keep Solo isolated, but Solo fought back and launched Jimmy over the top rope. Jimmy rolled back in to tag Jey, who dragged Solo to center ring. Both teams made tags, and Knight unloaded on Jimmy. A distraction from Jey allowed Jimmy a roll‑up for two. Knight hit a flying elbow, but Jey broke the pin.
Solo and Jey brawled outside until Royce Keys ran down and threw both men into the barricade. OTM, wearing bandanas, followed and attacked Knight and Jimmy. They assisted Keys with a massive spinebuster. Keys then grabbed the steel steps and wiped out Jey, Solo, and Knight. The announce table was cleared, and Jimmy was slammed through it.
Keys and OTM stood tall as everyone else lay scattered.
WINNERS: No contest in 10:00.
(Robert’s Recap: I thought the match itself was great. This was a PLE quality match and the crowd was really into it. One of the things The Bloodline just always gets right is the little trash talk during the match. It always adds a bit of realism and intensity to their matches. The whole match I was waiting for Jacob Fatu to come out, but I was happy I was wrong. Just like Je’Von, Royce Keys showing some aggression is perfect for his character. Very surprised that OTM was called up to the main roster. I know they have been around NXT for a few years, but I wasn’t sure if they were ready to make the jump. Having them involved in an angle where they can play supporting roles to six other people is a great way to continue their development without having to do too much.)
FINAL THOUGHTS: Raw is in prime position right now to gain back some major momentum. With football season right around the corner, it will be a challenge to maintain viewers on a weekly basis. The storylines they have going on right now should help keep a lot of them. Anyways, awesome show, Fenix and Lee balled out with one of the better matches you will see on Raw this year. Stephanie, Becky, and Liv is my favorite storyline, other than The Bloodline, right now and will only get better in the upcoming weeks. JD, Dom, Cass, and Evans is one of those feuds that is very entertaining despite the fact there isn’t a title involved. Raquel and Sol running it back should be another great match. Femi and Bron with Heyman involved is going to propel both guys into the stratosphere when they complete the rivalry. Hopefully WWE can keep the train rolling and produce another good show next week.
