[HOUR ONE]
-Raw opened up with the Usos pulling into the arena. A car pulled up behind them and Royce Keys, along with OTM, attacked both Usos, busting Jey and Jimmy open. Jacob entered the scene with a steel pipe, chasing off the attackers. They blurred out the blood.
-Sol Ruca came out to the ring for her match against Raquel Rodriguez.
-Jacob Fatu came out and interrupted the match right after the introductionns were made. Fatu called out Royce Keys and OTM before WWE cut off his microphone because of foul language. WWE officials came down to escort Jacob out. On his way out, he knocked over the championship belt table and bike rack.
(1) RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ vs. SOL RUCA – Intercontinental Title match
The match started with Raquel clotheslining Sol. Sol regained control, clotheslining Raquel over the ropes and then flipping over the ropes on top of her. Raquel powered back, landing heavy punches inside the ring. A springboard crossbody from Ruca resulted in the first pin attempt of the match. After Raquel kicked out, Sol got her in a butterfly tarantula submission hold. A failed moonsault to the floor gave Raquel control of the match. [c]
Both women traded punches in the middle of the ring, but Sol was able to use her speed to gain control. A shining wizard led to another pin attempt for Sol. Judgement Day came down to the ring but was taken out by a corkscrew moonsault. Ruca went for a Sol Snatcher but was interfered with by Lyra Valkyria. Raquel hit the Tejana Bomb for the win.
WINNER: Raquel in 10:00.
(Robert’s Recap: Weird start to the show with Fatu interrupting the match before it got started. The match itself felt like it was over just when it seemed to pick up steam. Lyra causing Sol the match was a great way to continue her heel arc. It seems like maybe a triple threat match is coming.)
-A vignette for Penta and Rey Fenix hyping up their match tonight played.
-Camera angles showed the damage from the assault on the Usos. Then they replayed the beatdown.
-Chad Gable was walking through backstage getting ready to head out to the ring. [c]
-WWE aired a sneak peek of the new MR. T documentary.
-Chad Gable came out to the ring. The crowd chanted his name as he began to speak. Gable said he wasn’t fulfilled by being champion. He wanted to be remembered as a great champion by the fans. Gable announced he will defend his Intercontinental Championship at Raw in Mexico City against Dragon Lee. Dragon Lee showed appreciation toward Chad Gable, but before he could accept the challenge, Ethan Page came out. Page didn’t appreciate the fact he wasn’t given an opportunity for the belt. Page overlooked Dragon Lee, who didn’t appreciate it and challenged him to a match. Gable, who was given power to choose his opponent for Raw in Mexico, then set up the match between Lee and Page with the winner getting an opportunity to face Gable.
(2) ETHAN PAGE vs. DRAGON LEE
The match started with Gable sitting at ringside. Page had momentum early in the match, slowly working Lee over. A big boot from Page gave him the opportunity to pin Lee, but Lee kicked out at two. Dragon started fighting back with some chops, but Page pushed him into the corner. Page gave Lee an opening, which he took, utilizing his speed to land some moves and a cover of his own. Lee landed a Tope con Hilo to take full control of the match. [c]
A missed kick on the side of the ring allowed Page to use the apron to his advantage, taking back control of the match. Page attempted the Egoplex but got rolled by Lee for a two count. Lee landed a tornado DDT for another two count.
Battling on the outside of the ring, Lee landed a huge knee that rocked Page. Page regained momentum and threw Dragon into Chad Gable. Gable distracted the referee, which allowed Page to remove the turnbuckle pad. Lee ran chest-first into the exposed turnbuckle, but the referee noticed what Page did. Page argued with the referee, allowing Lee to hit Operation Dragon for the win.
WINNER: Dragon Lee in 12:00 to earn a shot at Gable for the IC Title on Raw in two weeks.
(Robert’s Recap: A solid match with plenty of action. However, I felt it was weird the referee refused to count the pin because of the turnbuckle being exposed. I’m not a fan of those spots where the referee didn’t see anything but assumed the heel cheated. Dragon versus Gable in Mexico should be one hell of a match, but I felt Page should’ve gone over. To my knowledge, it will be Gable’s first time back in Mexico since his match against El Grande Americano. Pinning him against Page would put all of Mexico in his corner. Either way, it will be a good match.)
-Tessitore put over Wrestlepalooza weekend in Australia in December.
-Highlights from the acknowledgement ceremony a few weeks ago were shown.
-Backstage, an SUV pulled up and out of the car came Roman Reigns. He met up with Jacob and asked where the Usos were. Fatu let him know Royce Keys and OTM attacked them. He warned Roman that Royce was a problem. Roman let Jacob know that Royce was his problem and that everything else was Roman’s problem. Roman came out to the ring. [c]
-Tessitore announced Crown Jewel, which will take place in Saudi Arabia Nov. 7.

-Roman grabbed a microphone and called himself the only champion that matters. He said Rey. and Penta deserve respect for earning their match against him, unlike everyone else. Roman mentioned that he gave Solo an opportunity and that he will acknowledge him. Roman was disappointed that Solo left the family for LA Knight, even comparing him to The Rock. LA Knight came out to respond to Roman. Knight exclaimed he should be dealing with Royce Keys, but Roman keeps talking about him. Knight called Reigns a coward. Knight walked to the ring to challenge Roman, but the titantron played a video of Solo after being attacked backstage. Knight made his way to Solo and started blaming Jacob. While Jacob and Knight were arguing, Roman landed a Superman Punch on Knight and told Jacob to handle Royce.
-A vignette for Lola Vice played.
-Dominik Mysterio with JD McDonagh came out to the ring followed by Je’Von Evans.
(3) DOMINIK MYSTERIO (w/JD McDonagh) vs. JE’VON EVANS
Dominik attacked Evans before the bell rang. Once the match officially got started, Evans took complete control. JD got involved early by grabbing Je’Von’s foot when he ran the ropes. Evans regained control by knocking Dominik out of the ring and then flew over the ropes onto Dom. [c]
Back from commercial, Dominik mounted a comeback and even covered Evans but only for a two count. Mysterio taunted Evans, which allowed Je’Von to battle back. JD saved Dominik by pulling him out of the ring. As Evans geared up for OG OTB, JD interfered, causing the referee to call a DQ. As Dom and JD began beating down Evans, Joe Hendry came out to make the save. Adam Pearce came out to announce he was tired of The Judgement Day always interfering and called for the match to restart as a tag team match.
WINNER: Evans via DQ in 8:00.
[HOUR TWO]
(4) JD MCDONAGH & DOMINIK MYSTERIO vs. JOE HENDRY & JE’VON EVANS
Evans hit the OG OTB on both JD and Dom. [c] Hendry started the match against JD. A tag to Dominik without Evans noticing allowed The Judgement Day to gain control of the match. Dom worked over Evans and tagged JD back in. On the top ropes, Evans knocked JD down and landed a switching moonsault. Tags were made and Hendry took out both members of The Judgement Day. Dominik attempted the 619 but was met with a discus lariat. JD headbutted Hendry, which gave Dominik the opportunity to land the Frog Splash for the win.
WINNERS: Dom & JD in 6:00.
(Robert’s Recap: WWE is filled with younger wrestlers with loads of talent. JD, Dominik, and Evans are three of them. Hopefully this feud has the proper time to really tell a story. The talent is certainly there, but we need a compelling storyline to fit the narrative. The first match was kind of a teaser, so hopefully we can see this feud really take off. Adam Pearce probably won’t be mentioned as one of the best general managers of all time, but he is doing a great job and really deserves more credit. Adding Joe Hendry was a pleasant surprise. He is a crowd favorite who doesn’t need to do a whole lot in the ring.)
-WWE plugged Zuffa Boxing.
-Highlights from Vaquer’s match against Roxanne Perez played.
-Cathy Kelley interviewed Becky Lynch. Stephanie Vaquer intervened, asking Becky why she chose to help her last week. Lynch said she wasn’t trying to help and that she was going after Liv. Lynch added she would rather take the belt off Stephanie. Vaquer told Becky to stay away from her and that Lynch didn’t deserve the title.
-Rey Fenix was warming up backstage. [c]
-An advertisement for Sunday Night’s Main Event was shown.
-A recap of the feud between Oba and Bron got the audience caught up on the ongoing drama between the two.
-Cathy Kelley interviewed Paul Heyman, asking him for a prediction or a spoiler for the match between Oba and Bron. Heyman said this is a big match that both men need to win. Heyman put over both competitors and said the fight will be unpredictable.
-Tessitore and Barrett ran down the card for Sunday Night’s Main Event.
-The Judgement Day grouped up to celebrate their win. Perez promised to have Liv’s back if Becky tries to interfere.
-Highlights from the attack on the Usos and Solo played again. Tessitore announced the Usos and Solo were taken to local medical facilities.
-Penta had his entrance and made his way to the ring. [c]
-Barrett announced Money in the Bank qualifying matches next week.
(5) PENTA vs. REY FENIX – World Title Tournament Shot Final
The brothers shook hands before the match and immediately started off with some chops. Tessitore did a good job explaining the backstory for the brothers. Quick covers from both men and a quick second of admiration. Penta managed to get control by flying over the top ropes and landing on Fenix. [c]
The match slowed down with both wrestlers being more precise about their strikes. Fenix landed a springboard corkscrew for control of the match. A series of kicks knocked both men down. A tilt‑a‑whirl backbreaker led to a two count. [c]
Penta, in full control of the match, tried hitting the Mexican Destroyer on the side of the ring. Penta countered Fenix by throwing him miles into the air and landing a powerbomb, but only for a two count. Penta attempted another Mexican Destroyer from the second rope, but Fenix landed on his feet. Penta then hit the Penta Driver for a two count. Fenix rolled out of the ring and to the announcer’s table. Another Penta Driver, but this time on the announcer’s table. Penta landed The Sacrifice as Fenix screamed in agony. Penta went for a Mexican Destroyer but was countered by Fenix. Penta managed to hit the Mexican Destroyer for the win. The brothers embraced each other after the match. Roman came out to confront Penta.
WINNER: Penta in 16:00 to advance to face Roman Reigns in two weeks for the World Title.
(Robert’s Recap: If this match was on a bigger stage, maybe it would have benefited. Unfortunately, the commercial breaks didn’t do this match any favors. Penta was the right decision to win. He has been over since his debut in WWE. Will he beat Roman? I highly doubt it, but it will make for an interesting match.)
FINAL THOUGHTS: A solid show as we inch closer to Money in the Bank. Qualifying matches start next week. My biggest gripe from the show was the censoring of the blood from the attacks. I get WWE is more child-friendly, but if they weren’t going to show the blood then why even have it? The beatdown was good enough. Jacob having to solve his problem with Royce should set up some great television and matches. Other than that, the show continued to push the storylines of the Intercontinental Championship. We also had a nice little interaction between Stephanie and Becky. Lyra involving herself in Sol’s match will probably mean we see those two in action against each other next week.
