[HOUR ONE]

-They opened with a view inside the small venue with hots of cheering fans up close as Excalibur introduced the show alongside Tony Schiavone. He plugged the scheduled interview segments with Will Ospreay and Mercedes Mone, plus Darby Allin vs. Mark Davis in a TNT Title match, and The Rascalz vs. Swerve Strickland & The New Level.

-A video package aired on All In from Sunday including shots of high moments and surprises including Britt Baker, The New Level, Bryan Danielson to “Machinehead” by Bush.

-Ospreay made his entrance. He wore the AEW World Title. He apologized if he looked rough. Fans chanted, “You deserve it!” He said he’s had a whole week of crying and they shouldn’t make it worse. Fans sang, “Ospreay, Ospreay, Ospreay, Ospreay, Ospreay!” He said he’s been on a bender since Sunday. He said if you were there from the beginning, thank you. He said for the last ten years, Kenny Omega was the best wrestler in the world “and still is.” He said 364 days out of the year, Omega’s a better wrestler than him. “It took just one day to become champion,” he said.

(Keller’s Analysis: This is *too* gracious and self-deprecating, plus AEW World Champion is supposed to represented the best wrestler, so many others the last ten years have been “the best,” and he’s kind of disrespecting them and what the AEW Title stands for, at least in storyline. What Ospreay is referencing is “match quality” and “critical acclaim,” but in cannon of AEW, the AEW World Champion at any given time is the greatest wrestler.)

Ospreay said he and Omega are 2-2. He said all he wanted is to be ackowledged as Omega’s equal, so he’s satisfied at 2-2. Scattered boos. He looked into the camera and told Omega that if he’s not satisfied with that, name the time and place.

He said he thinks the belt looks good at him. He named the prior AEW World Champions, excluding MJF! He said he has to pinch himself because those guys were once his heroes. He said they’ve gone from his idols to his rivals. He said with gusto, “I am the standard now. I am the Billy Goat. I am the best in the world. I am your AEW World Champion.” (That’s more like it.) He said if you want to take it from him, you will need to walk through the same fire he went through.

He gave a shout out to “my boys,” and he listed the United Empire wrestlers. He said the picked him up when he went down and there was no one he wanted in his corner. He said he wanted to create some opportunities in AEW, so he was going to bring the Untied Empire to AEW. As he began to sign off, Ricochet walked onto the stage with Bishop Kahn and Toa Leona. He interrupted Ospreay and said everybody thinks he’s there to rain on his parade, but said it couldn’t be further from the truth. He said they have unfinished business because they are forever intertwined. He said he wanted to be the first to tell him that what he and Omega did was spectacular. He said he’d have to be dead inside not to acknowledge that. He said Ospreay would not be in the main event of All In without him. He demanded that Ospreay give him the first opportunity to take the title from him.

He was interrupted by Gabe Kidd. He told Ospreay that he stole his chance to become the first English IWGP Champion and now he’s done the same thing regarding the AEW World Title. He said it’s nothing compared to what he’s going to take from him and his family. Ricochet told Kidd he’s getting the first opportunity, not him. Kidd said he doesn’t want to take his title yet, he wants to take his life. As they all approached the ring, the United Empire entered the ring with chairs and protected Ospreay. Ospreay said they could fight right then in their street clothes, or they can all get changed and meet back there in the main event. Fans cheered.

-A recap aired of the Trios Title battle royal that Swerve & New Level won.

(1) THE NEW LEVEL & SWERVE STRICKLAND (w/Prince Nana) vs.  THE RASCALZ (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed)

The New Level made their entrance. Then Swerve. And then The Rascalz. The bell rang 23 minutes into the hour. Fans chanted “New Le-vel! New Le-Vel!” to the rhythm of “New… Day Sucks” and “New… Day Rocks!” Swerve started. Austin tagged in to cheers. He soon tagged into Kofi who got a nice pop as he entered. Kofi leaped off the top rope onto all three heels at ringside at 4:00. They cut to a double-box break as Kofi celebrated with his teammates. [c/db]

He Rascalz took over during the break. Austin tried to tag out. Kofi got a hot tag and landed a Boom Drop on Myron Reed. After Swerve landed a leaping faceplant, Swerve turned to the crowd and celebrated for eight seconds and called for the House Call. When Swerve turned around, Dezmond attacked him. Chaos broke out with Swerve fighting all three Rascalz as Austin and Kofi were down at ringside. Kofi broke up a cover at two. Kofi drove Dezmond into the ringside mat. Wentz landed a leaping tornado dive on a celebrating Kofi. Excalibur noted that Kofi spent too much time celebrating, which wasn’t fair since Kofi wasn’t actually celebrating, but rather catching his breath. Austin dove onto Dezmond and Wentz at ringside. Myron leaped over the top rope and took down Austin and Swerve with a head scissors. Fans chanted, “Holy shit!”

Dezmond landed a rolling kick to Kofi and then yelled, “You never should have came!” Swerve gave Wentz a running kick from the ring apron as New Level delivered Dezmond with a double-team move. Swerve then landed a House Call and Kofi scored the pin.

WINNERS: The New Level & Swerve in 13:00 to retain the AEW Trios Titles.

(Keller’s Analysis: A bit too much of a “frenetic-highspots-fest” to really keep track of late in the match, but the crowd ate up the chaos. The New Level, wisely, aren’t dramatically changing their personas because no one would believe they were anything but what they showed for years in WWE. They’re there to have highspot-filled matches with creative double-team moves with other AEW wrestlers.)

-The Young Bucks came out and looked at the Trios Tag Team Titles belts on the stage. Then they headed to the ring to speak. [c]

-A clip aired of Mercedes Mone winning the AEW Title from Willow Nightingale.

-Matt Jackson said they can’t complain about being cheated, since he and Nick have done worse. He asked if Adam Copeland and Christian Cage “really needed to be us that way?” He asked if they were satisfied with how they did it. Matt told them to get their asses to the ring and tell them that they’re happy with how it went. Instead, out came FTR with Stokely Hathaway. Stokely said they blew it at Revolution and blew it at Wembley and now they want to do it a third time. He said they disgust him.

Dax Harwood told the fans of Texas to do their best to keep up with him. FTR said they’ve defeated the Bucks and they’ve beat Copeland & Christian, so the Bucks should take a step back. Nick said it’s true FTR beat them, but they’ve also beat FTR. He said what they never did was say “I quit” like FTR did. Copeland & Christian’s music played and they came onto the stage.

Christian said he is satisfied with their victory on Sunday. “They don’t ask how you won, they ask who won,” he said. He said people say they’re the old guys past their primes, but they’re the AEW Tag Team Champions. He said FTR and The Bucks should be more embarrassed, He said he’s surprised they’re not considering willingly taking a 50 percent paycut to go somewhere else rather than get embarrassed by them yet again.

Copeland said he realizes now that his job is to be the voice of reason. He said he saw what happened at Wembley after the fact, and he’s not proud of it “We’re better than that,” he said. Christian shook his head and said, “No we’re not.” He said they’ll have a three-way match at All Out and it’ll involved chairs, tables, and ladders.

-Backstage, Lexi Nair interviewed Osreay and The United Empire. Callum didn’t like being called “Ospreay’s United Empire.” Ospreay told him he started the group and he doesn’t need his permission to expand the group. Lexi asked if they’ve found a fifth member. Ospreay said he didn’t. Callum Newsman said he’s got it and trust him. Andrade then walked into the scene. He shook hands with United Empire. Andrade congratulated Ospreay. Ospreay said, “Let’s go!”

(2) DARBY ALLIN vs. MARK DAVIS – TNT Title match

Davis attacked Darby during his ring entrance. He then slammed him on the ring apron. Fans chanted, “Darby! Darby!” Then he chopped him after “trapping” him between the edge of the ring and the ring apron. Don Callis joined in on commentary. Davis tossed Darby over the ringside barricade. Darby checked on his ankle. The bell didn’t ring yet and they cut to a double-box break as officials checked on him. [c/db]

They brawled into the crowd during the break. Darby dove at Davis from behind and knocked him back over the barricade to ringside. Darby crawled over to his skateboard and bashed Davis with it. Davis chopped Darby down a second later. Davis finally entered the ring and the ref instantly called for the bell to officially start the match. Fans chanted, “F— Don Callis!”

Davis tossed Darby across the ring into the turnbuckles.

[HOUR TWO]

As Davis continued to toss Darby around, fans chanted “Darby! Darby!” He scored a two count and then they cut to a break at 2:00. [c]

Davis remained in control after the break. Darby scored a near fall at 7:00 on a sudden sunset flip. Callis called him a “degenerate street urchin.” Excalibur plugged the Motor City Machine Guns would make their AEW debut against The Swirl on Collision on Saturday.

Darby got in some offense at ringside. They both reentered the ring at 9. Darby hit two quick Coffin Drops for the win.

WINNER: Darby in 10:00 to retain the TNT Title.

-After the match, Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta attacked Darby. Steven Borden attacked Rocky and Trent including a high standing dropkick. Borden dared Davis to enter the ring. Josh Alexander jumped Borden from behind. He then went after Darby. Davis gave Darby a leaping piledriver.

-A clip aired of Andrade winning the Casino Gauntlet battle royal at All In.

-They cut to MJF backstage who was despondent over “losing a match I wasn’t even supposed to be in.” He said he had to win the contract so he could go on prove he’s the one true champion. He ranted that there is no star in AEW more important than him including Ospreay. He said payback is coming for Ospreay and he won’t see it coming. He said fans will be on the edge of their seats, since it could happen on Dynanmite, Collision, or PPV. He said when the “real world champion” finally hands out some payback, “you’re going to be begging for it.”

(3) MEGAN BAYNE (w/Lena Kross) vs. ALEX WINDSOR (w/Jamie Hayter)

The bell rang 15 minutes into the hour. They cut to a double-box break at 3:00. [c/db]

They fought to ringside. A fan chanted “Women’s Wrestling!” Others joined in. Hayter and Kross fought at ringside. The ref was preoccupied with them as Windsor KO’d Bayne with a title belt. She threw Windsor back into the ring and then hit a running powerbomb for the win.

WINNER: Bayne in 11:00.

-A clip aired of Chris Jericho coming up short in the Casino Battle Royal.

-Lexi interviewed Jericho backstage. She said he came up short. Jericho said Nick Wayne got pinned, so he didn’t technically lose. Wayne happened to be right there standing by to walk in and get in Jericho’s face. He said he owned that ring at Wembley and he took him out of the match. He asked where that leaves him, “Mr. Nine Times World Champion.” He said he had 15 years of experience the day he was born. He said he is one of the greatest 12 year old wrestlers he’s ever sene, better than he was at 21, but he’s still only 21. Wayne said, “Please tell me what I don’t know.” Jericho said his necklace makes him look like a douchebag. Wayne slapped him. Jericho fought back. Wayne kicked him low and called him a douchebag. [c]

-Mercedes Mone made her entrance. Schiavone said they don’t always like the way she does it, but she’s one of the best women’s wrestlers ever. Excalibur said “one of the best wrestlers,” excluding the “women’s” qualifier. Mercedes thanked the fans and said this is the only place the women’s evolution could be globalized. She said she took a bet on herself and the title belt is what happens when you stop asking for permission to be great. She said she’s the first wrestler to win four major titles in four major companies. Fans chanted, “CEO! CEO!”

She said to get all of that, she needed to leave one thing behind – Willow Nightingale. Boos. She called her a “self-egotistical bitch.” She then revealed what Willow did to her face, removing a decorative mask she had been holding up. Fans chanted, “You deserve it.” She thanked Willow and said, “Look who’s smiling now!” She said she did everything she said she was going to do. She took her smile and now the entire AEW Women’s Division is standing in her kingdom. She said she didn’t work this hard for just one singular moment. She said what she wants for the championship “doesn’t even exist yet.” She said now that she holds it, it will. She held up the belt.

Thekla then spoke up from the upper deck. She said, sarcastically, “That was great, that was so good.” She said she came out to celebrate with her, not interrupt her. She held up a red cup and said it was tequila. She said she really, really likes her and called her an icon and a legend. She said for all the accolades and titles and victories, she has never been toxic. Scattered cheers. She thanked her for what she did to their friend Willow. She said Willow deserved to be humiliated. Scattered boos.

Thekla said she has noticed Mercedes likes to swing the belt between her legs. Thekla said, “Nobody swings it bigger than Thekla!” She said she heard since she’s been gone, Mercedes has been calling people “dumb bitch.” She said if there’s one thing she likes less than a dumb bitch is a dumb bitch calling others a dumb bitch. She said Mercedes might be as CEO, but she doesn’t work for her. She swigged her drink in the red cup and then told Mercedes to let her know when she’s ready to let her win her title back. Thekla’s music played. Mercedes held her belt in the air and looked her way. Then her music played to end the segment.

-Backstage, Britt Baker said she came back to AEW not for a gamble, but for a guarantee. She said she likes to raise a little bit of hell. She endorsed Persephone. She said she’d done more than most of the division will ever do, and now it’s Persephone’s turn. Persephone said they will be eternal and they have no Achilles Heel. She said she brought back the Doctor and now she’s the TBS Champion.

(4) JON MOXLEY vs. AR FOX – Continental Championship Eliminator match

They cut outside the arena where Jon Moxley was with other Death Riders before making his way through the concourse. The bell rang 46 minutes into the hour.
