SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Speedball Mike Bailey says their marriage to pro wrestling commentator Veda Scott works well despite them having different schedules because they both love wrestling. “I think the reason Veda is so good at commentary is because just like myself, we are both, and always have been, obsessed with professional wrestling,” said Bailey during an interview on Radican Worldwide available now for PWTorch VIP members.
“You hear of some people who are like, ‘Oh, uh, this is very common in, uh, couples in professional wrestling,’ right? But we keep our work and our personal life separate. We don’t talk about pro wrestling at home. And we are the complete opposite. We love it. We love to talk about it. We love to dissect it.”
Bailey said that although they are often on different shows in different places, they love to get on the phone after the show and talk about the shows they participated in that night. “So often we are gonna be doing separate shows,” said Bailey. “I’ll be doing a Dynamite, and Veda will be doing a CMLL show, and then as soon as the show is done, we’ll get on the phone, and we will break down our shows match by match, moment by moment, and dissect every little piece of it, because we absolutely love pro wrestling.
“And I don’t know how our relationship would work if we didn’t share the thing that we are both the most passionate about. So I mean, I’m so grateful for Veda.”
