AEW COLLISION REPORT
OCTOBER 24, 2026
WINSTON SALEM, N.C. at LAWRENCE JOEL VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM
AIRED LIVE ON TBS & HBO MAX
REPORT BY JOSHUA WHITE, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR

Commentators: Nigel Mcguinness, Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight

Ring Announcer: Arkady Aura

Attendance: WrestleTix reported that 2,438 tickets had been distributed; arena is set up for 2,669.

[HOUR ONE]

Schiavone welcomed everyone to the show as the camera panned the crowd. Tony ran down some of the events coming up before throwing to the ring announcer, who announced “Switchblade” Jay White. The Bang Bang Gang’s music played as Jay stepped out to the stage, flanked by the entire gang alongside David Finlay and Clark Connors. They showed a replay of those teams coming together and beating down the Death Riders. Nigel noted the crowd’s reaction was different than normal, although there were still cheers among the boos.

Jay took a mic and feigned the “guns up” spiel, but he stopped short. Jay tried to introduce the group, but decided they needed a new name. He polled the crowd for suggestions. He went ahead and announced that they are now The Bullet Club but added, “Forget about it.” He said you need more than a club or a family to get to the top, that you need an outfit, and that they’re the last outfit. Jay addressed his and Finlay’s history, acknowledging that he probably can’t trust him, but he can trust that they will work together against the Death Riders. Jay said the decision they made will affect the future of AEW. He told the fans to get used to Moxley being downed and attended to by Marina. Jay had advice for Marina, to drop the scowl and smile. Jay said he wouldn’t let The Conglomeration keep dragging him down. Jay said that Orange Cassidy is impressive, but he had to be reminded of his place: nowhere near him. He went back to Moxley, saying he’s going to take the Continental title. He said the Death Riders don’t get a pass. He said you got to be down with The Last Outfit, or they got two words for you. He didn’t say the catchphrase, but they all held up their fingers as Jay’s music played.

(White’s Take: This opening promo had its share of ups and downs. Jay has a confidence and charisma that allows him to carry a segment like this with ease. However, it dragged a points, with unnecessary pauses, although I do like him teasing, but not delivering the catchphrase. The content wasn’t great either, not really offering much of an explanation for their formation or actions and then arriving at a lackluster name for the group. Also, it’s a lot of people standing in the ring.)

-Lexi interviewed The Conglomeration, and Kyle O’Reilly didn’t care about their new name. Kyle said he’s going to the knife out of Cassidy’s back and cut off the head of the snake. It’ll be the last night for The Last Outfit.

-They showed a highlight video of Motor City Machine Guns and FTR from WrestleDream.

(1) FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler w/Stokely) vs. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) – Best of five series match

FTR’s music played and Stokely marched out to the ring. The Motor City Machine Guns made their entrance. There was a split chant for both teams as the bell rang to start the match 15 minutes into the show.

Sabin landed a back elbow, and Cash came back with a backslide for two. Sabin hit Dax with a shoulder block and an inside cradle for a quick two. Sabin and Shelley hit an inverted atomic drop into a flipping facelock and added a sliding dropkick on Dax. Cash entered and got the same combination of moves. Dax and Cash rolled to ringside to regroup.

Dax and Sabin traded chops. Sabin landed a few punches and caught Dax with a back body drop. Sabin made the cover, but Dax kicked out at two. Cash got a blind tag and hit a bulldog on Sabin. Stokely distracted the ref and Dax ran in, but Shelley entered and they hit a pair of running kicks. FTR rolled to the outside, and Motor City Machine Guns hit stereo baseball slide dropkicks. Sabin added a dive to the outside as they went to commercial. [c]

They returned from commercial as Shelley hit a back superplex on Dax that left both men down. Sabin and Cash brawled on the apron and Cash pulled Sabin down so Shelley couldn’t make the tag. Shelley dodged a Shatter Machine and got the hot tag to Sabin.

Sabin hit arm drags and enziguris on Dash and Cash. Sabin drilled Dax with a tornado DDT and made the cover, but Dax kicked out at two. Dax blocked a German suplex and hit a back elbow. Cash came in for a double suplex attempt, but Shelley saved his partner. Dabin got a sunset flip on Dax for a two-count.

Sabin and Shelley hit Dax with a double enziguri. Cash ragged Sabin out of the ring. Dax hit a right hand and set up for a piledriver, but Sabin pushed Cash off the top rope and came in to catch Dax with a flying crossbody. Sabin held on for the pin, but Dax kicked out at two. Dax hit a left-handed lariat.

Sabin blocked a Shatter Machine and went for a tornado DDT, but Cash countered it into a German suplex into the pin for a two-count. Sabin rolled Cash up for two. Shelley hit a hotshot on Cash on the top rope and Sabin followed with a missile dropkick from the top rope. Sabin launched Sheley from the top rope onto the assisted splash. Shelley made the cover, but Cash kicked out at two.

Shelley got distracted by Stokely on the apron, but Sheley rammed Stokely and Dax’s heads into each other. Dax flipped out of a back suplex and Cash showed up just in time to nail Shelley with the Shatter Machine. Dax made the xover, but Sabin broke up the pin at the very last second.

The crowd chanted, “This is awesome,” as Sabin punched Dax into the ropes. Sabin and Dax fought through the ropes and fell to the floor. Shelley went for a victory roll on Cash, but Cash sat straight into a pin attempt. Cash used the ropes to assist the pin and got the three-count.

WINNERS: FTR in 17:00

(White’s Take: Very good opener as one might expect. Both teams respect the traditional structure of a tag match and maximize those restraints to put together a great match. The ending was a bit sudden and a little odd, but FTR getting fluky/cheaty win is a good way to even up the series.)

-They showed highlights from the tag match and follow-up from Dynamite setting up Blood & Guts.

-They cut to Ospreay backstage after Dynamite. Ospreay said he’s surrounded by people who can’t stand Callis just like him. Ospreay looked at The Young Bucks, Steven Borden, and Darby, saying that none of them will submit or surrender. He asked Copeland if he’d submit or surrender. Ospreay said they need the Copeland from his childhood: sick, sadistic and blood-thirsty. Copeland said he swims in blood and guts and threatened to beat them so bad their children will feel it.

(2) SHANE TAYLOR PROMOTIONS (Shane Taylor & Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean & Trish Adora w/Christyan XO & Lee Moriarty) vs. THE DEATH RIDERS (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli & Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir)

Shane Taylor Promotions made their entrance as they showed an inset video of Carlie Bravo saying they keep seeing new groups, but they’re the only gang. Shane Taylor said he hasn’t seen the Death Riders all day, and he’ll take a forfeit win, but he wants to beat their asses. The camera cut to the parking lot where Claudio pulled up in a truck with Moxley, Marina, Yuta, and Garcia. The Death Riders’ theme played as the group walked through the backstage area and the crowd on their way to the ring. The bell rang 42 minutes into the show as Moxley slid into the ring and immediately started brawling with Taylor.

Everyone else paired off and brawled at ringside. Moxley pummeled Taylor in the corner as Garcia rammed Dean into the ringside barricades, running back and forth. Bravo hit Moxley with a backrake and a pair of chops. Moxley came back with a back suplex and tagged in Marina.

Marina and Moxley took Bravo down with a double shoulder block. Trish came at Marina from behind, but she rolled into a wristlock. Dean broke up the submission and tagged in. Dean charged Shafir in the corner, but Marina rolled out of the way, leaving Dean to hit a bronco buster on the bottom turnbuckle. The Death Riders entered and hit the training of running attacks in the corner on Dean. Moxley hit Dean with a cutter and the Death Riders huddled in the ring as they went to commercial. [c]

Back from break, Shane Taylor Promotions beat Garcia down in their corner. Dean hit the BBC bronco buster on Garcia in the corner and his group mugged for the camera. Bravo charged into a boot and Garcia tried to fight out of the corner, but Taylor hit him with a lariat. Moxley charged in, knocked Taylor off the apron and hit him with a dive to the outside.

Garcia blocked a suplex from Bravo and hit a spinning neckbreaker. Garcia made the hot tag to Claudio who put Dean into a giant swing. Claudio set up for a swing on Bravo, but Taylor broke it up. Claudio blocked a suplex attempt from Taylor and delivered an impressive vertical suplex of his own.

Trish countered a judo throw, but Marina rolled her into an armbar. Garcia put Bravo into the Dagontamer and Moxley added a stomp to put him out. Marina, the legal member, transitioned Trish into a Brutalizer and she tapped out.

WINNERS: The Death Riders in 10:00

-Moxley grabbed a microphone after the match as the crowd chanted for him. Moxley said Jay White thinks he started a war on Wednesday, but the Death Riders have been at war for a long time, with everyone. He said that they made a move, and it was a good move, but now it’s his move.

(White’s Take: Smart move to leave Yuta out to secure the babyface alignment of the Death Riders. Marina got the win and a lot of the shine, which is good for her heading towards a title match with Mercedes. Moxley’s promo afterwards was short, to the point, and exactly right.)

(3) JOSH ALEXANDER (w/Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta) vs. BLADE BROWN

Josh Alexander made his entrance along with Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta. Blade Brown was waiting in the ring as Rocky and Trent joined the commentary team. The bell rang to start the match 58 minutes into the show.

Alexander hit a running boot and a suplex. Alexander offered Blade a free shot, but shrugged off his chop. Rocky was very excited on commentary as he celebrated the Young Bucks’ loss on Dynamite. Alexander tossed Blade into the stairs and rolled him back into the ring. Alexander drilled Blade with the C4 Spike piledriver. Alexander applied the ankle lock, but Blade was seemingly unconscious, so the ref called for the bell.

WINNER: Josh Alexander in 2:00

[HOUR TWO]

-After the match, Josh Alexander took a microphone and thanked the “great, wise, and powerful” Don Callis. He said Callis assembled the most dominant faction in pro wrestling history. He said they would destroy the competition at Blood & Guts. He said Davis and Doyle will decimate the Young Bucks and bring home the tag titles to the family. Alexander said there is a lot of gold in the Callis Family, but he should bring some of his own. Alexander said he wants the TNT Championship and challenged Darby to fight him. Alexander said he’d be a fighting champion like Knight, Fletcher, and Copeland. He said he’d like to fight Copeland if he recovers from. Getting his head cracked open. Copeland’s music hit and he walked toward the ring. Rocky and Trent charged, but Copeland took them down with right hands. Alexander ducked out of the ring as Copeland hit Trent and Rocky with a pair of spears. Davis and Doyle attacked Copeland from behind and dropped him with a lariat. Alexander added some punches on Copeland and posed with Davis and Doyle as the Callis Family “music” played and Schiavone confirmed that TNT title match on Wednesday.

(White’s Take: More yelling than what is probably warranted, although it took place after the attack on Wednesday, so it kind of makes sense. On the plus side, Ospreay was serious and framed his teammates as serious people leading into the Blood & Guts match.)

-They showed a highlight video of Dragunov’s debut from Wednesday.

(4) SWERVE STRICKLAND (w/Prince Nana) vs. MYRON REED

Swerve’s music played and he walked to the ring along with Prince Nana. The Rascalz’s music played and Reed made his way out with Dezmond Xavier, but continued to the ring by himself. Reed posed in the ring and Swerve attacked him from behind. Swerve hit a house call kick. The ref broke it up and checked with Reed. Reed said he was good and the bell rang to start the match ten minutes into the second hour.

Swerve went for a Vertebreaker immediately, but Reed slipped out and ducked Swerve, sending him tumbling to ringside. Reed hit a big dive onto Swerve, knocking him into the barricade. Reed caught Swerve’s boot on a kick from the apron, and swung him into a cutter on the apron. Reed dodged Swerve in the ropes and hit a leg drop across the back of Swerve’s neck.

There were dueling chants at Reed hit an enziguri and then spun Swerve off the ropes with the Hang Five draping flatliner. Reed made the cover, but Swerve kicked out at two. Reed tried to hit a jumping cutter on Swerve on the apron, but Swerve caught him and slammed him down on the apron. Reed came back with a poison rana in the ring. Reed landed a 450 splash and made the cover, but Swerve kicked out at two.

Reed hit a thrust kick and ducked a running kick. Reed jumped into a leapfrog, and Swerve tried to catch him, but the timing was off and Swerve awkwardly transitioned him into a Vertebreaker. Swerve followed up with a Swerve Stomp and made the cover for the win.

WINNER: Swerve Strickland in 11:00

(White’s Take: Swerve looked dominant through the majority of this match, as he should. The ending was a bit funky, but they got through it. Reed had moments of to shine, but this is just a small bit in Swerve’s story.)

(5) “SPEEDBALL” MIKE BAILEY & ANDRADE EL IDOLO vs. STEVE ALLEN & ROBERT ALLEN

“Speedball” Mike Bailey’s music played and he stepped out to the stage before Andrade’s music played. Andrade entered along with two random women and his contract for a world title match. WINNERS: “Speedball” Mike Bailey & Andrade El Idolo in 2:00

Andrade posed with a lady at ringside after the match, but Ciampa snuck up in the crowd and rocked Andrade with a right hand. Bailey chased Ciampa off back through the crowd.

(6) THE DIVINE DOMINION (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) vs. WRATHLANDER (Harley Cameron & Kris Statlander)

The Divine Dominion’s music played to bring out Megan Bayne and Lena Kross as they showed a replay from Dynmaite of their attack on the champions and challengers on Dynamite. What we can only guess is Wrathlander’s music played as Harley and Statlander made their way to the ring. The bell rang to start the match 33 minutes into the hour.

Bayne dropped Statlander with a pair of running shoulder blocks. Statlander came back with a. dropkick, but Kross hit her from behind. Statlander slipped off of Kross’ shoulders and came back with a spinout powerbomb. Statlander climbed to the top rope, but Julia Hart and Skye Blue ran down to the ring and shoved Statlander off the top rope, causing the referee to call for the bell.

WINNERS: Wrathlander in 11:00 by DQ

(White’s Take: This match was just fine before the rare DQ ending. Doesn’t sem like they’re trying to protect either team so much as setting up a Blood & Guts match and possibly adding to the women’s tag title match at Full Gear.)

Afterward, Thekla and he cronies attacked Statlander. Thekla took off her belt to attack Statlander, but Willow’s music played and she charged the ring to make the save. Thekla retreated, but Blue and Hart slipped in and hit Willow from behind. Statlander. Harley and Statlander made the save. Willow set up to hit Thekla was a chain, but Bayne and Kross broke it up. Triangle of Madness and Divine Dominion took control as they had the numbers, beating down Statlander, Harley, and Willow. [c]

-Lexi was backstage as Harley and Statlander were recovering backstage. Willow said she called a pair of birds and they also hate the five women who attacked them. Statlander asked if she was thinking what she was thinking. Harley asked if she was thinking what they were all thinking. They all yelled “Blood & Guts.”

(White’s Take: To the surprise of zero people, this was all leading to a women’s Blood & Guts match. Good thing this issue cropped up this time of year, otherwise they’d just have a random 8-person tag on a random episode of Collision. Also, Willow is leaning back towards her overly-syrupy and fake persona making this kind of a cringe segment beyond the obvious reveal.)

(7) “SWITCHBLADE” JAY WHITE vs. KYLE O’REILLY

“Switchblade” Jay White’s music played and he made his way to the ring. Kyle O’Reilly’s music played and he stepped to the stage with Strong and Cassidy before making his way to the ring on his own. The bell rang to start the match 53 minutes into the show.

White blocked it and got his feet to the ropes to break the hold. White rolled to the outside and Kyle went for a flying knee, but White rolled out of the way, leaving Kyle to crash to the floor.

White nailed Kyle with a Blade Runner on the floor. White lifted Kyle’s dead weight and rolled him into the ring. White lifted Kyle up and hit a second Blade Runner. White made the cover and got the win.

WINNER: “Switchblade” Jay White in 14:00

(White’s Take: This was a good main event, which isn’t surprising given the talent involved. This was an example of how much better Jay White works as a heel in the ring. Commentary even tried to explain his counter-wrestling style and Kyle was a great opponent to demonstrate it. While you’d like to see Jay win decisively and quickly, fans of AEW and Collision in particular knew better than to expect it.)

-The Conglomeration came out to check on Kyle as White rolled to the outside. The rest of The Last Outfit walked down the ramp and circled the ramp as The Conglomeration looked worried in the ring. Strong and Cassidy both charged their foes, but were overmatched. The Last Outfit beat down The Conglomeration. The Gunns set up for a piledriver on the steel stairs before The Death Riders’ music hit. The Last Outfit waited for them to enter throught he crowd, but Moxley, Garcia, Marina and Claudio ran down the ramp and with chairs in hand and took the fight to The Last Outfit. Claudio easily fought off Finlay and Connors by himself before White hit him from behind with a low blow. White turned around into a Paradigm Shift DDT from Moxley. Moxley pulled out a fork, but he was swarmed by Juice and the Gunns to save White. The beat Moxley down on the outside before Orange Cassidy took out the Gunns with a few Orange Punches. Cassidy hit a flipping dive onto the crowd outside of the ring.

Back in the ring, White ducked an Orange Punch and Cassidy hit Moxley by mistake. White hit Cassidy with a Blade Runner before reconvening with his group at the top of the ramp. Jay White’s music played as they signed off.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Well, they tried to do something relevant storyline-wise at the beginning and end of the show, opening with the follow-up to Jay White’s new faction and a wild brawl to close it out. However, other than giving the group a name, neither segment did much to forward anything. Still, a mostly entertaining episode of Collision full of good action and a dusting of short promos and squashes to break things up. As an aside, 14 minutes of overrun on Collision is generally unnecessary, particularly as I can think of about an hour you could shave off without losing anything of note.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING
