SHOW SUMMARY: Today we jump back 15 years to two back-to-back episodes of the PWTorch Livecast from Sept. 18 and 19, 2011.
On the Sept. 18, 2011 episode, PWTorch assistant editor James Caldwell and PWTorch columnist Greg Parks discussed with live callers the just-completed PPV from all angles, with Parks in-person at the PPV to compare notes on the event. They focused on the big three matches – World Title, WWE Title, and Hunter-Punk, including a weird R-Truth moment, the booking of Beth Phoenix-Kelly Kelly, the latest John Cena title victory, whether CM Punk gained or lost anything in the main event, the over-arching issue of WWE devaluing titles and whether the titles, stories, or both are not over, announcing issues, look-ahead to Survivor Series with Rock and Cena, and more. In the previously VIP-exclusive Aftershow, they talked more about Parks’s in-person perspective, including a fight in the stands, and much more.
Then on the Sept. 19, 2011 episode, Wade was joined by PWTorch columnist Bruce Mitchell. They discussed with live callers questions needing to be answered on Raw coming out of Night of Champions, whether people should wait and see if questions are answered or if there’s some concern with WWE storyline direction, Mark Henry’s big night, John Cena’s latest title victory and why WWE went that direction, historical background on Kofi Kingston’s offensive logo, Matt Hardy announcing he’s going to rehab, why Steve Austin may or may not return at WrestleMania, and much more. Jason D. From Australia made an appearance late in the show as a caller.
