Impact continues improved viewership stretch headed into Sunday’s Redemption PPV event

By Wade Keller, PWTorch editor

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling on Pop TV drew 373,000 viewers, which is 53,000 more than one year ago this week.

The monthly average for April so far is 349,000, up from 310,000 last year through three weeks of April. The 2018 average so far is 325,000 up from 297,000 a year ago.

Impact has a stretch of shows drawing 350,000 or more six of the last eight weeks. To put that in perspective, Impact didn’t draw more than 350,000 since last November, and that was a three week aberration from trends at the time.

  1. I am glad you said this, Wade. This is still a very good number. I said at this at another place that this was very good and Impact held their own against good competition only to get ridiculed by some dweeb who kept telling me this was not good. So, a true wrestling journalist like yourself who actually works in the business comfirmed my statement.

    • A true wrestling fan would also see that the current Impact product is excellent, while the current Sports Entertainment product is very stale. 🙂 There are a lot of WWE marks out there who aren’t even wrestling fans. Good to see a legit fan post something on this board.
