SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The WWE 2K20 Smackdown 20th Anniversary Edition available on XBox One and PS4 is the best version of WWE 2K20 you can purchase. This year the collectors edition of WWE 2K20 is based around Smackdown turning twenty years old. All versions of WWE 2K20 will be released on Oct. 22.

The packaging looks really cool with a nice slipcover and case loaded with photos depicting some of the biggest WWE stars to appear on Smackdown. When it comes down to whether or not this edition of the game is worth the 129.99 price tag, the answer is yes.

The big ticket items in the WWE 2K20 Smackdown 20th Anniversary Edition are the limited edition are the autographed plaque and a piece of the Smackdown ring skirt from the 2002-2008 era. For the autographed plaque buyers have a chance of pulling a signed plaque from Edge, Kurt Angle, or Rey Mysterio. The plaques are limited to 30,000, but only the Smackdown ring apron plaques are numbered.

There’s also bonus DLC that offers extra value in this edition of the game. First, there’s a WWE 2K20 Smackdown 20th Anniversary Edition Playable Superstars pack. This pack includes Chyna, Hulk Hogan, and The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection (Rock & Mankind).

There’s also a WWE Supercard bonus content card featuring The Rock, Mankind, and Mr. Socko. The WWE Supercard bonus content from the collectors edition last year was highly sought after and it’s hard to imagine the same thing not being the case this year.

This edition of WWE 2K20 also comes with the deluxe edition of the game, the WWE 2K20 Backstage Pass, which is like a season pass that will give you access to all of the WWE 2K Originals, and the WWE 2K20 pre-order content, which is the first WWE Originals release “Bump in the Night.” From what I’ve seen, the WWE Originals is going to be a huge part of this game. The “Bump in the Night” content looked fantastic from what I saw and playing through this edition of WWE Originals allows you to unlock The Fiend.

There’s definitely a lot of added value from buying the WWE 2K20 Smackdown 20th Anniversary Edition for $40 more than the deluxe edition of the game. The two collectibles, which you’ll see in the unboxing video, are easily are worth more than the cost to upgrade from the deluxe edition. If you play WWE Supercard, you get even more value with items for the Rock, Mankind, and Mr. Socko exclusive to this edition of the game. If you’re planning on getting the Deluxe Edition of the game, I suggest upgrading to the WWE 2K20 Smackdown 20th Anniversary Edition, as there’s definitely more added value than the cost of the upgrade.
