Tony Khan issued an update on Steven Border during the All Out post-show press conference.
Khan said Borden had a CT scan and the results of his tests were good. “First and foremost, I wanted to get down to business and say I have a great update,” said Khan. “Thankfully, Steven Borden is awake and responsive at the hospital. He had a CT scan and all the tests have come back good.”
Khan said the hope was that Steven would be able to fly hom with his family. “So far, all good results and we’re hopeful Steven’s going to be able to fly home tomorrow to his family,” said Khan. “So that’s great news coming out of the PPV.”
Borden was teaming with Darby Allin against Kyle Fletcher & Kevin Knight when the injury occurred during the All Out PPV Saturday night. Borden was injured when he and Kevin Knight jumped at each other off the ropes from opposite sides of the ring and Borden appeared to hit the back of his head on the cavas hard after colliding with Knight in the air.
The match was a #1 contender match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. It was stopped by AEW doctors and awarded to Knight & Fletcher after Borden sustained the injury to his head.
