SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

AEW wrestler Alex Windsor says she’s in constant communication with her tag team partner in the Brawling Birds, Jamie Hayter, to discuss ideas to pitch for their team behind the scenes to AEW COO and booker Tony Khan.

“Oh, all the time,” said Windsor about how often she communicates with Hayter about ideas for their team in an exclusive interview for PWTorch VIP members on Radican Worldwide. “We’re constantly talking about ideas character-wise, move-wise. So, I love that. We’re very much on the same page as well. Like, we think we both have an idea in our head of what we want the Brawling Birds to not just wrestle like, but also how we want to come across.”

Windsor said that she and Hayter often draw inspiration for ideas for their characters from different places such as movies and TV shows and this allows them to build upon each other’s ideas for the team. “So, we’ll send each other clips or ideas of what we sort of want,” said Windsor. “You know, even to the point of what we’re gonna wear, and things like that. And I love that any sort of idea I put to her, she enjoys and she can build on, and vice versa.

“Like, you know, she’ll say about, ‘Oh, we could have this sort of character,’ or we can take an idea from this show or this movie. And I just think everything that we’re sort of putting into it, we’re just growing and growing as a team together.”

Windsor also revealed that she worked together with Hayter on the idea for them to cut promos and film vignettes together in a British pub setting. “So again, we both had the idea of having, um, that sort of style and just having very… We both said we, anything we do, any promos we do, we wanna have that very British, in your face, this is what a British pub would sort of look like,” said Windsor.

“So, I think again, from day one, we’ve had the idea of everything we’re about is authentically British, and it’s sort of true to who we are. So, I think it’s been a combination of both our brains and both what we have the idea of. And it’s so cool to see it coming to life as what we’ve sort of pictured it as.”
