SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Bully Ray says he is retiring from in-ring wrestling (which may or may not be a work) due to an injury and a potential for ring rust as a result of the injury. He told Busted Open radio today that unless he is able to perform at a certain level, he does not want to perform anymore. He says that he is still under contract for Ring of Honor, that he will be at the ROH TV tapings on Friday, and wants to “shake every fans hand and thank them.” He also talks about how special and how much Ring of Honor means to him and says that they have the hottest thing in pro wrestling right now – The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega (The Elite). Listen to the full interview HERE. Busted Open with Dave Lagreca & co-hosts Bully Ray & Larry Dallas can be heard weekdays from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. ET only on SiriusXM Rush Channel 93 and is available any time on demand on the SiriusXM App.

-Titus O’Neal told Lilian Garcia on her “Chasing Glory” podcast this week that he doesn’t understand what he did wrong when he got suspended for an incident with Vince McMahon last year. “I still don’t understand it. Like, I literally put my hand out and said ‘Ladies first,’ he said. “So I don’t know (when) the wrong time is to say ‘Ladies first,’ or the right time.” He said he he talked a little bit with Vince McMahon about it, but considers it part of the past. “It’s water under the bridge. Really. It happened and I took ownership of it. Regardless of if I was right, wrong, or indifferent or if the situation could’ve been handled differently. It happened. I served my suspension and it’s over with.” He did say he thinks the situation could have remained lower profile. “Do I feel like it could’ve been dealt with a little different, a lot differently, based on the fact that you could call me into an office and say ‘This was wrong. I’m going to fine you x amount of dollars and don’t let it happen again?’ I’m not a problem child. If I were a problem child, then I could see, like, ‘Alright, we’ve got to teach this guy a lesson.’ What lesson? Cool. Don’t deal with the powers that be in a certain way, even though you’ve dealt with them in that way on numerous other occasions. Just don’t deal with them at all in that way. Keep it professional. Be a professional. Do your job, do what you can to help the company.” Read more, including the positives, that came from the ordeal, at our sister site, PWPodcasts.com HERE.
