Report by Robert Perry, PWTorch.com correspondent

I attended last night’s Raw house show in San Diego. The place was mostly full but some of the top tear was tarped off. I would say between 10-12 thousand people were there. The crowd was really into the show all night long.

They started the show off with a ten bell salute for The Fabulous Moolah.

(1) Santino Morella defeated Brian Kendrick when he reversed the Slice Bread into a roll up and grabbed the ropes. This was decent overall. Lots of Austin chants during the match. Maria was not at ringside.

(2) Carlito defeated Kofi Kingston in the worst match of the show. Neither guy seemed to be trying at all. This was my first time seeing Kingston and he did not impress me one bit. Carlito one with the Back Cracker.

(3) Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated William Regal with a running clothesline. Duggan was very over with the crowd. Tons of HOOOO and USA chants. This was a pretty short match at just over 4 minutes.

(4) Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch defeated Haas & Benjamin and Cody Rhodes & Bob Holly in a 3 way. This was really good with a ton of action. Holly got a huge pop when he came out. Cade pinned Haas after a low blow and a roll up which seemed to piss Murdoch off.

(5) Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Kennedy in the match on the night. This was very good. The crowd was super into it chanting back and forth for both wrestlers. Hardy won with the Twist of Fate. Kennedy didn’t do his usual mic work before the match.

Intermission lated about 30 minutes. Maria came out and shot some t-shirts into the crowd. She was about to take off her own shirt when Vladimir Kosloff came to the ring and yelled at her in russian. Super Crazy made the save and was destroyed.

(6) Beth Phoenix defeated Mickie James in a good match. The crowd was relly into Mickie. Beth won with a power slam type move.

(7) Snitsky defeated Val Venis in about 30 seconds with a powerbomb.

(8) Triple H & Rey Mysterio defeated Umaga & Randy Orton when Trips pinned Orton after the Pedigree. Mysterio got the pop of the night with this being his home town and all. This was a really good main event.

Notes: Overall I had a really good time. Hardy vs Kennedy was match of the night but the main event was a close second. Alot of kids seemed to be there for John Cena but of course he is injured. Also I got lucky and met Shelton Benjamin after the show at McDonalds down the street. He was really nice and signed my program.

QUICK TIPS FOR SENDING RESULTS

If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to: pwtorch@pwtorch.com.

We accept reports in any format, but if it’s not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don’t just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don’t have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.

Also, please list tag teams using the “&” symbol as opposed to stating “and. ” Reserve use of ” and” when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. ” Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match” ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
