SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Impact Wrestling on Pop TV last night drew 362,000 viewers, which is well above the 305,000 viewers it drew one year ago this week. The March average viewership is 350,500, up from 294,000 average in both February and January. Impact hasn’t averaged 350,000+ viewers since September 2016, 18 months ago. The trend is positive and there’s a real reason for Impact executives to feel some traction with viewers after seven out of nine weeks having viewership above 300,000 and four in a row.

-WWE is advertising for Raw this Monday in Cleveland, Ohio: “See Ronda Rousey make her WWE debut.” PWTorch reader Tim Bates writes: “That makes it seem like she is going to have a match even though I am fairly certain this is not true.”

WWE is advertising for Smackdown this coming Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Pa. A.J. Styles & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch & Naomi vs. Natalya & Carmella & Lana. [Thanks to PWTorch reader Joe M.]

Advertised main events at Raw and Smackdown TV events very often don’t happen, and our correspondent reports indicate WWE rarely addresses to the crowd the change in what was advertised at the time of ticket sales promotion. Keep us informed of what is advertised in your market and, when you attend events, please send us results of what actually does happen: pwtorch@pwtorch.com
