You can read the entire press release on the Reaction Figures from Masked Republic below:

Masked Republic™, the world’s foremost company dedicating to expanding lucha libre beyond the borders of Mexico, has teamed with Super7™, a premiere pop-culture collectibles company, to release officially licensed ReAction™ figures of three Legends of Lucha Libre™.

The Super7 ReAction figure line features figures in the classic 3.75″ size first made popular by the Kenner brand Star Wars ReAction figures in the 1970s. Since 2013, Super7 has been bringing globally loved properties into the modern ReAction line including Alien, Master of the Universe, Universal Movie Monsters, Planet of the Apes, Robotech and Street Fighter II.

Following the success and super fast sell out of the Super7’s official Legends of Lucha Libre M.U.S.C.L.E. figures in summer of 2018, the companies have expanded their collaboration with five ReAction figures.

The Legends of Lucha Libre ReAction figures mark the first officially licensed Blue Demon Jr. figure in 25 years, the first officially licensed Tinieblas Jr. figure in a decade and the first officially licensed Solar figure in history! Solar and Blue Demon Jr. are both available in ring gear as well as classic “with-suit” versions.

All five figures, as well as the previously sold-out M.U.S.C.L.E. packs featuring Solar, Super Astro, Konnan, Juventud Guerrera, Tinieblas Jr. and Blue Demon Jr., are available for worldwide shipping from Masked Republic’s LuchaShop.com or directly from Super7’s website and retail stores in San Francisco and San Diego.

This past Friday night, the Super7 Store in San Francisco held a release party for the figures and this Friday, February 1, Super7 San Diego and The Film Geeks will host a launch party at Digital Gym with classic lucha movies, trivia contests and more.

Radican’s Analysis: These figures are modeled in the same way as Kenner’s Star Wars figures were in the 1970s and they look really cool. I hope they sell well, as Lucha Libre themed figures are always a fun addition to any wrestling collection.
