SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

AEW DARK TV TAPING (SPOILERS)
OCTOBER 9, 2019
BOSTON, MASS. AT AGGANIS ARENA
REPORT BY SEAN RADICAN, PWTORCH COLUMNIST

The following are spoilers for the Oct. 15 edition of AEW Dark on YouTube…

(1) Kip Sabian beat Sonny Kiss and The Librarian Peter Avalon (w/Leva Bates) in a Triple Threat match. This match was taped before Dynamite aired live on TNT. Sabian pinned Avalon to win the match. The Librarian got a lot of heat running down the Boston sports team and Tom Brady. Sonny Kiss got a big pop coming out for the match.

(2) The Hybrid 2 (Jack Evans & Angelico) & The Dark Order (Stu Grayson & Evil Uno) beat S.C.U. (Scorpio Sky & Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) & CIMA. This was the first match taped for AEW Dark after Dynamite went off the air on TNT. Evans pinned Sky for the win. This was a good match. Evans was funny with his antics while S.C.U. made their entrance. He challenged an entire section of fans to fight him in the parking lot after the show. Evans pinned Sky to win the match.

(3) Kenny Omega beat Joey Janela in a Lights Out Unsanctioned match. Justin Roberts announced this match was not sanctioned by AEW and would not be acknowledged in the AEW record books. This was crazier than anything I ever expected to see on a YouTube show from AEW. These two pulled out all the stops and got tables, ladders, and chairs involved. Omega overshot Janela hitting the Terminator dive and appeared to hurt his left ankle. Officials came out to check on him, but he was able to continue the match. I noticed Omega had some blood on one of wrists after bumping into the ladder. Late in the match, Janela missed a frogsplash off a big ladder inside of the ring and went through a table  when Omega got out of the way. Omega finished Janela off with a crazy jumping One-Winged Angel through a chair that was set up in the ring.

After the match, Omega said he didn’t care what the critics said about his match with Janela airing on AEW Dark and they could think it was stupid. He talked about matches like the one he had tonight being about having the passion he had back when he was on the indies. He said Janela earned his love and respect tonight and so did the fans in Boston. This match is worth going out of your way to see next Tuesday when it premiers on YouTube.
