The brand split will not be ending in WWE.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the idea in WWE as of now is to keep Raw and Smackdown separate brands with separate talent. The report indicates that the plan will be for the the unified WWE Universal Champion and soon to be undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions to work across both shows.

Roman Reigns unified the WWE Championship and Universal Championship when he defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 38. Reigns is currently in the midst of a 601 day reign as world champion. The Tag Team Championship will be unified at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8. On that show, The Usos will put their Smackdown Tag Team Championship on the line against RK-Bro and the Raw Tag Team Championship. Last week on Smackdown, Riddle defeated Jimmy Uso. This week on Smackdown, Riddle beat Jimmy’s brother, Jey Uso.

WrestleMania Backlash will air on Peacock on Sunday May 8. Matches for the show include Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair in an “I Quit” Match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, A.J. Styles vs. Edge, and Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins in a WrestleMania rematch.
