Monday Night Raw viewership flat over last week, slightly down in key demo

Monday Night Raw drew 1.61 million average viewers and a 0.44 rating in the adult 18-49 key demo this week. Average viewers for the show are essentially flat week over week, but the key demo rating is down.Raw drew 1.70 million viewers in the first hour and dropped steadily as the night went on. Raw’s second hour drew 1.66 million viewers and the the third drew 1.47 million viewers. The third hour viewership is higher than last week.

This week’s Raw was bookended with the Randy Orton 20th Anniversary Celebration. The show opened with the celebration itself and feature Riddle, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and Ezekiel. The main event segment was an eight-man tag team match pitting The Usos & Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens vs. RK-Bro & Cody Rhodes & Ezekiel. Orton hit a flurry of RKO’s to end the match and get the win for his team.

Raw this week also featured a championship match with Bianca Belair defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Sonya Deville. Deville attempted to use her power as a WWE official to skew the match in her favor, but Belair hit the KOD to get the victory.

Becky Lynch made her Monday Night Raw return this week as well. Lynch hadn’t been seen on WWE television since losing the Raw Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania. Lynch cut a promo on her future, but was interrupted by Asuka, who was returning to Raw from a nearly year-long hiatus. Both women confronted the other and got a little physical before Lynch scurried away to avoid the fight.
