Willow Nightingale confirmed that she has a broken hand ahead of her defense of the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Mone at the All In London PPV. The injury to her hand was originally reported by Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer after Dynamite this week.
“Well, she’s broken,” said Nightingale during an interview with John Pollock of Post Wrestling during All In London media day today. “I have to go get an X-ray later today to figure out the severity of that because that would then inform just how guarded it needs to be on Sunday. Whether I’m able to get any kind of wrist flexibility or just hands or if I’m gonna kind of have a situation where I’m just like a stump.
“So, we’ll see. We’ll see. But, the heart is good. She’s full of love and passion and ready to fight. Mercedes (Mone), right? Angry, mean woman, stomping on it, throwing the title at it, hitting it with a chair. That part, disheartening, but not surprising.”

Nightingale was attacked by Mone during a backstage segment on Dynamite this week to build their match at All In London on Sunday. She began selling her hand during the segment. Tony Khan also confirmed Nightingale suffered a broken hand during AEW’s media on Thursday. He said the injury caused him to change some of the plans he had for Dynamite, but that Nightingale would still wrestle at the PPV on Sunday.
