SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Sting & Darby Allin vs. 2point0 – HIT

This started off with Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston getting attacked from behind by 2point0. We didn’t get to hear what they were going to say except for an excellent promo from Moxley on Danny Garcia later in the night. Matt Lee and Jeff Parker were their usual obnoxious selves enticing the crowd to want to see them get pummeled. Sting and Darby took the win again in another impressive showing from Sting. The crowd was jacked up for this and excited to see hit his signature spots.

Sammy Guevara vs. Shawn Spears – HIT

Sammy Guevara is coming into his own as a babyface. While he’s a natural heel, putting him in his hometown and having him propose to his longtime girlfriend helps to frame him as a new man in the eyes of fans. He had a wild match with Shawn Spears that resulted in some hard way blood. Guevara hit the 630 splash as well as an inverted GTS to pin Spears. This was a nice way to cap off the feud between the two as the story between The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle comes to a close.

Dan Lambert Promo – HIT

Dan Lambert was back giving his old school territory heel promo. As he mentioned, this time he brought substantial back-up in former UFC Heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Junior Dos Santos. Lambert generated massive heat running down the crowd and AEW before Lance Archer stormed the ring. He was attacked from behind by Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, potentially setting up his next feud. If that’s the case, he will need to find a tag team partner.

The Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express: AEW Tag Team Championship match – HIT

A boatload of interference for The Young Bucks to keep their tag championships, but an excellent match nonetheless. After retaining the championships, it was announced that The Bucks would defend their championships at All Out in a steel cage against the winners of a tag tournament. Of all the competitors Lucha Bros, Jurassic Express, Varsity Blonds, and Private Party the Lucha Bros would have the craziest match with The Bucks. After seeing the crowd react and the story develop, I’d prefer to see Jurassic Express in the match and take the titles.

Paul Wight and QT Marshall Confrontation – MISS

The crowd loves Paul Wight, but they don’t even react to QT. Even after his feud with Cody Rhodes, there’s a lack of interest from this fanbase for anything that he’s involved in. Wight set up the match with QT between the two for All Out. I and many, are hoping it is a quick chokeslam 1-2-3.

Penelope Ford vs. Thunder Rosa – HIT

A good match between these two. Thunder Rosa was a major crowd favorite and continues to show why she will be a major player in the women’s division going forward. There wasn’t any indication of her fracking Britt Baker at All Out, so it still seems more likely that Kris Statlander will challenge for the title.

Chris Jericho vs. MJF: Fifth Labour of Jericho – HIT

The fifth and final labour of Jericho. The feud that has lasted almost a year and came down to this. The crowd treated this appropriately by reacting like this was a major matchup. While conventional booking might suggest that Jericho would win this for a happy ending, AEW has heavily protected MJF’s matches. Jericho was barred from using the Judas Effect allowing MJF to submit him. A major victory for MJF and another feather in his cap. While this feud may be winding down, MJF is still owed a Judas Effect at some point in the near future.
