Hits & Misses

Surprise! You get a two-for-one special today. Instead of one month of CMLL, I’ll be covering two: August and September. I already did a special Hits & Misses for the 93rd Anniversario (go check that […]

Roman – Sami – HIT: This was a fun moment to start the show with a reunion between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. There was a lot to like about it. Their interplay was strong, […]

HITS Leon Slater’s “thrill of victory” promo This promo was very simple, yet very passionate. It came across as motivated, yet humble and gracious as to how he has gotten to this point. I wish […]

To help add context, my “Hits” are ordered from best to worst. With that said, let’s move into the high points of this week’s episode. HIT — NICK WAYNE SEGMENT The entire Nick Wayne segment […]

We are on the cusp of another AEW PPV with a go-home show in Cleveland setting the stage. I’m handling the first two hours of the three hour broadcast here so let’s go! HITS – […]

Opening Segment – HIT: Penta was a good choice to win Money in the Bank. He has so much momentum right now and is getting huge babyface star reactions. He was good in starting off […]

HITS Moose’s open challenge for Bound for Glory I’m not normally a fan of open challenges and I’m certainly not a fan of defaulting to his “face of the franchise” tagline to conclude every promo, […]

HITS In Memory of Pac I’m glad that TNA took time to honor the memory of Pac on this episode. Mustafa Ali had an extensive history with Ben Satterley in WWE, primarily on 205 Live, […]

HITS DARBY ALLIN VS. KYLE FLETCHER Of course, they killed it. Well, they nearly killed each other, but what a bunch of crazy moves and spots in this one. I can imagine backstage, both of […]

Bloodline vs. 946 – MISS: It is hard to take this feud seriously when WWE goes over the top with unbelievable angles without realistic follow up. I have been out of action for three weeks, […]

To help add context, my “Hits” are ordered from best to worst. With that said, let’s move into the high points of this week’s episode. HIT — Kofi vs. Lee Moriarty The New Day continue […]

Man, there has been way too much of this recently. Hey, I may watch, write, and talk about AEW, but I can’t put myself in the heads of all those in the company from the […]

Opening Segment: Bloodline Promo — HIT This was the closest we have seen to a pure babyface promo from the Bloodline in months. Jimmy Uso showing genuine concern for his younger brother Solo Sikoa was […]

CMLL’S 93rd Anniversario is in the books. It was pretty strong outing from the world’s oldest wrestling promotion featuring two very good matches and a main event that went pretty much the only way it […]

HITS Leon Slater’s resoundingly enthusiastic opening promo and ring awareness Slater just exuded enthusiasm and confidence in his show opening, in-ring promo. His energy is infectious and the crowd is strongly behind him. The only […]

HITS Ricky Sosa getting the pin on Cedric Alexander I know that it was just a tag match with Elijah as his partner against the tired System act but, similar, yet more important than Rich […]

To help add context, my “Hits” are ordered from best to worst. With that said, let’s move into the high points of this week’s episode. HIT – DARBY ALLIN VS. MYRON REED This was fantastic. […]

HITS OPENING 8-MAN TAG MATCH This was a very entertaining way to start the show. I loved the mix of personalities and styles of the participants. The dynamic between Darby Allin and Christian reminded you […]

With this episode of AEW Collision being a tribute to Andy “The Butcher” Williams, giving out Hits & Misses didn’t feel appropriate to me this week. This show was about remembering someone who meant a […]
