Report – Awesome Kong retiring

Japanese women’s promotion SEAdLINNNG is reporting that Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens) is retiring from wrestling. Stevens has not confirmed independently.

The promotion announced that Kong pulled out of an upcoming show due to “poor health” and the decision to retire from active competition.

SEAdLINNNG’s owner, Nanae Takahashi, said she was “very surprised because it was such a sudden thing.”

Both Takahashi and top women’s wrestler Ayako Hamada stated that they are sorry for situation, as this was a sudden announcement, but they wish the best for Stevens at this time.
