WWE star Ryback expressed disappointment with his place on the WrestleMania card in a recent sit-down interview on the Middle East tour. A subdued Ryback also revealed frustration with his position in WWE to the point where he’s considering other options going forward.

Asked by Dubai radio host Myles if he was pleased with his WrestleMania pre-show match against U.S. champion Kalisto, Ryback replied, “To be quite honest, absolutely not.”

“The last three WrestleManias have not been great. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on that, but it would have been nice to be on the show where both of us belongs. The U.S. Title definitely belongs on there. Hopefully next year – if there is a next year – there will be a better experience.”

Ryback went into more details on his frustration not being presented at the main event level, believing he is a unique act capable of more than he’s been given lately.

“I go out there each and every day to prove my worth that I am a once-in-a-lifetime WWE Superstar. I am The Big Guy, I am the best big guy in the world, and there is nobody like me. I will continue to plug away and be the best version of me. Hopefully at the end of the night, I’m where I belong,” Ryback said.

Asked about striving for main event status, Ryback replied, “I’ve heard in this business that hard work doesn’t always pay off. Maybe the Big Guy has to go find another world where that does pay off.

“You work really, really hard at something and dedicate yourself, then sometimes have to be be told you’re somewhere else. That’s a tough pill to swallow time and time again. I’ve never stopped believing in myself and I never will. Next year should undoubtedly be a big year for The Big Guy.”
