Smackdown SPOILERS 6/9
A.J. Styles and The Club cut a promo about how they would their matches at Money in the Bank. Enzo Amore & Big Cass interrupted and called them “sawft.” Luke Gallows made fun of Enzo for being a former manager at Hooters. Enzo replied that The Club had been champs on every continent but Antarctica. WWE tag champs New Day then made their way to ringside for commentary on the opening match…
(1) Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. The Club (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) went to a Double DQ after the Vaudevillains and New Day interfered, leading to a four-team brawl hyping their Tag Title match at the MITB PPV.
Renee Young interviewed U.S. champion Rusev backstage. Rusev said he was greater than Muhammad Ali. Titus O’Neil interrupted and said he would beat him at MITB.
(2) Kevin Owens & Alberto Del Rio beat Cesaro & Sami Zayn. Zayn and Owens disappeared for part of the match and fought back to the backstage area before returning. when Owens came back, he attacked his partner Del Rio and then pinned Cesaro.
(3) Becky Lynch beat Dana Brooke via submission.
Bob Backlund/Darren Young skit. Backlund told Young that he saves money by only wearing one pair of clothes, down to his tighty-whities.
(4) Baron Corbin beat former U.S. champion Kalisto with his finisher. Dolph Ziggler was on commentary for the match.
Sheamus and Apollo Crews had a segment backstage with Sheamus making fun of Crews. Crews punched Sheamus, who fell into objects to end the segment.
(5) Chris Jericho pinned Dean Ambrose after hitting a Codebreaker to win the main event.
Ambrose attacked Jericho after the match with a ladder to end Smackdown.
After Smackdown ended, A.J. Styles came out and threatened Dean Ambrose. Roman Reigns made an off-TV appearance running off Styles. Dean and Reigns then beat up Jericho to close the taping.
Rusev claiming he is better then Ali is just a douche move to get some heel heat. WWE should just delete that comment before it even airs.
