SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Expect an especially long security check at Survivor Series in Atlanta, Ga. tomorrow night, unless reports of ISIS’s interest in targeting the event are discredited. The Anonymous hacker group says they’ve uncovered information that identifies the Survivor Series event as a target of an attack by the terrorist group ISIS, report International Business Times. Excerpt:

“Anonymous, the loose collective of online activists, said Saturday it has uncovered information about Islamic State group attacks in Paris as well as at locations in the U.S., Indonesia, Italy and Lebanon, all apparently set for Sunday. OpParisIntel, a group within Anonymous, released a statement saying it had collected information about imminent attacks by the militant group — aka Daesh, ISIL and ISIS — in the French capital a little more than a week after a series of coordinated attacks there left 130 dead and hundreds injured. Anonymous also said the Islamic State group is planning an assault at the WWE Survivor Series event scheduled to take place in the Philips Arena in Atlanta Sunday at 7.30 p.m. EST, as well as attacks at multiple events in Paris.”

Anonymous says they’ve passed proof to multiple government intelligence agencies of multiple planned attacks Sunday night around the world, including the FBI in the U.S. The WWE event is the only U.S. attack they found information on.

WWE tells PWTorch that they will be commenting on this matter shortly.

  1. My Wife, Daughter and I are supposed to attend. My wife is unsure if she wants to go now. Not sure what to do as my daughter is 11. But i suppose since the report there will be swarming with police and FBI at the scene. I think if it winds up being credible that WWE will cancel the event.
