SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE Studios and Lionsgate are collaborating on a new line of movies under Lionsgate’s “Codeblack Films” label, reports Deadline.

The first movie in the multi-movie deal is “Brother’s Blood” starring Trey Songz. It’s unclear if a WWE star will be included in the movie.

Production is scheduled to begin in January in New Orleans with WWE Studios head Michael Luisi producing. Codeblack will distribute the movie.

“We look forward to working with Codeblack and expanding our tremendous relationship with Lionsgate,” said Luisi. “John Pogue and Trey Songz are exceptionally talented artists and the ideal creative team to shepherd our first co-production with Codeblack.”
