SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

TORCH TODAY – Sunday, December 20

Sunday Events Center: It’s a big night for 2CW, which is going out of business with two shows streamed on 2CW.com. Also, WWE is in Winnipeg and WWE Studios’s Christmas movie is premiering on USA Network to kick off “WWE Week.”

C.M. Punk resurfaced with a full beard, looking like one of the Briscoes. Punk, who is training for his MMA debut in 2016, was recorded offering his predictions for Saturday’s UFC fight card. (Full Coverage at MMATorch.com)

– WWE tag champion Big E. would like to work with NXT tag team Enzo Amore & Big Cass on the main roster. Big E. also said in an interview with MLive.com that he would lock up with Big Show and/or Brock Lesnar in singles action.

“I’ve been around long enough for the most part that I’ve wrestled mostly everyone. I haven’t wrestled Big Show yet. I think Brock Lesnar stands out as a big name. If I had to choose one person to wrestle who I haven’t wrestled yet, it would be Brock,” Big E. said in the interview promoting WWE in Detroit on December 26.

– WWE Network is now officially available on the LG Smart TV App Store just in time for holiday TV shopping. (Thanks to PWTorch correspondent David)

Ric Flair made an appearance in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday. Flair appeared at the Dayton Mall, with about 100 people in attendance for the autograph session.

– The Calgary Herald interviewed Diana Hart about her current relationship with the other Hart Family members, experiencing so much loss from pro wrestling, and the next installments of her three-part wrestling fiction series, which are due out in 2016 and 2017.

“I think it is reflective of me and my life but it isn’t necessarily things I have experienced,” she said of the book trilogy. “It’s things that I saw happen to other people in my life. It’s fictional but I had a lot of emotion. I felt a lot of empathy and sympathy for my characters. I was crying when I had to let one of them go. They were like real people to me but they’re a culmination of a lot of people.” (The first book installment can be found on Amazon.com)

– “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson and his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, had a baby girl this week and decided on the name Jasmine. The baby was born premature and reportedly weighed 5 pounds, one-fourth smaller than the 20-pound weight that Lauren jokingly said earlier this month she did not want to deliver.
