WWE Studios announces new movie title & WWE stars in Mania Week release

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE Studios is planning a WrestleMania Week movie release that will incorporate WWE arena footage for the first time.

The movie, “Countdown,” will include four WWE stars. Dolph Ziggler is the lead and is joined by Kane as a featured star. The movie will also include cameos by Rusev and Lana.

Ziggler and Kane took time away from WWE TV over the summer to film the movie, which was originally titled “6:42.”

The new movie description reads:

When a madman kidnaps a young boy and rigs him with explosives, Ray (Ziggler), haunted by the loss of his young son, defies his captain (Kane) and takes matters into his own hands. Now he must beat the clock to stop a psychopath and save an innocent child.

Featuring cameos by WWE Superstars Rusev and WWE Diva Lana, “Countdown” is the first WWE Studios film to shoot and include live event footage. “Countdown” will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on April 5.
