Radican Unboxes #5 – Inside the latest “Pro Wrestling Crate,” plus Contest details & Video

By Sean Radican, PWTorch columnist

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The next PWTorch.com monthly unboxing video for ProWrestlingCrate.com features an unboxing of the February 2016 crate.

Instead of a curator this month, Pro Wrestling Crate went with “The ’80s” as a theme for the box. Pro Wrestling Crate was founded by Jake & Derek from the limited edition wrestling t-shirt site TopRopeTuesday.com and Mick Foley.

IMG_3666The aim for each crate is to have a pro wrestling personality curate the crate. Each crate comes with a shirt, collectibles, and merchandise that you won’t find anywhere else unless you subscribe to the monthly service.

Pro Wrestling Crate is relatively new, as this is only their fourth box. This month is interesting and I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, as instead of having a site or a wrestling personality curate the box, they went with The ’80s theme.

Each crate costs $29.95, which includes shipping. If you commit to longer than a monthly subscription, you can get a significant discount. One cool thing about Pro Wrestling Crate’s service is there are no additional charges for customers that need a t-shirt 2XL and above.

As you will see in the unboxing video, Pro Wrestling Crate has by far the most professional-looking box I’ve seen for a wrestling-themed subscription box. The box was even sealed with a sticker featuring the curator’s logo, which was a nice touch as well.

And now to the unboxing video!

Obviously, there are several pro wrestling mystery boxes on the market now. Depending on what you’re looking for if you want to subscribe to a mystery box, Pro Wrestling Crate will be very appealing depending on the theme. I enjoyed the box from KayfabeNews.com last month, but found the box this month much more appealing to me as a fan given that I grew up watching wrestling in the ’80s. The Ric Flair shirt instantly moves up to the top of my list of favorite pro wrestling shirts.

You can purchase a subscription to Wrestle Crate by visiting ProWrestlingCrate.com. You can also follow them on Twitter @PWCrate. Act fast, as the deadline to order the March crate is March 15. The next crate will have a Mania theme according to the teaser on the website.

Also, PWTorch and Pro Wrestling Crate are teaming to give away a March crate to one lucky winner. The contest will launch during Raw on February 20. All you have to do to be entered to win February’s crate is RT the contest tweet and follow me on Twitter @SeanRadican for your chance to win.
