TORCH TODAY – Thursday, March 17, 2016

At PWTorchLivecast.com: On-demand access to Wednesday’s PWTorch Livecast featuring Lio Rush, who now has an ROH World Title shot during WrestleMania Weekend. During the interview with Pat McNeill, Rush noted that he will not be part of WWE’s “Global Cruiserweight Series” on WWE Network.

Roman Reigns has typically avoided responding to Twittercritics during his rocky road to the top spot in WWE. However, the former college football star’s jock mentality came out Thursday when he responded to a person who said that he would break all his fingers if Reigns wins the WWE Title at WrestleMania 32.

Sports websites covered video of The Undertaker doing deadlifts and box jumps as part of his preparation for WrestleMania. It’s interesting to see Taker willingly filmed out-of-character in workout shorts and a t-shirt before WrestleMania when he usually tries to protect his character.

– NFL player James Laurinaitis, the son of “Road Warrior” Animal, has found a new home. Laurinaitis signed with the New Orleans Saints after he was cut by the St. Louis/L.A. Rams during the off-season. (NOLA Report)

– The “Kickboxer” re-make starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dave Bautista is scheduled for theatrical release later this year. The movie was originally planned as straight-to-DVD, but the distributor was able to secure theatrical commitments. (Metro U.K. Report)

– Former TNA wrestler Crimson spoke at a rotary event in Clarksville, Tenn. about achieving his two dreams of getting an education and becoming a pro wrestler after his military service. (Story & Photos at ClarksvilleNow.com)

Sportskeeda published interesting background on NXT wrestler Satender Dagar (Jeet Rama), one of WWE’s recent recruits from India.

– Video Feature: WWNLive’s latest free match video is T.J. Perkins vs. Mike Bailey from EVOLVE 43 in May 2015.
