Huge Double Main Event advertised for WWE’s return to Hawaii

By James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

During Monday’s Raw, WWE advertised a huge double main event for their return to Hawaii in June.

The advertised matches are Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens and John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakamura on June 29 in Honolulu.

Lesnar and Cena are currently not officially advertised on the Blaisdell Arena website. However, it appears they will be joining the tour that heads to Japan for shows in Tokyo the first week of July.

Other stars advertised for the tour are Roman Reigns, A.J. Styles, Chris Jericho, Bray Wyatt, New Day, Kevin Owens, The Usos, Women’s champion Charlotte, and NXT Women’s champion Asuka.

Tickets went on-sale in April and have sold out. The arena is advertising that some production holds may be released as the show date nears.

  1. In regards to this story, I live in Honolulu and tonight I never saw this “local advertisement” touting Cena vs Nakamura at all during RAW tonight.

Now Cena’s pic has been added to the roster of names coming to Hawaii. It was not there prior.

There were ads promoting ticket sales to the Hawaii show that ran on RAW a few weeks back. However no such ad ran tonight.
