Orlando, Fla. at the Amway Center
Report by Kyle, PWTorch correspondent

The demographic was obviously different than that of Royal Rumble at this same venue. It was mostly families and parents with small children. Would guesstimate attendance around 5,000 or so. Pretty good on a Sunday night.

Before the national anthem, there was a moment of silence for the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting. It was announced proceeds from tonight’s event would be donated to the “One Orlando Fund.” The video screens also promoted that you can text ORLANDO to 501501 to donate $10. Security was no different than it was in January for the Rumble.

(1) The Usos beat Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson in about 12 minutes. Usos were heavy favorites with the crowd. They almost lost the match on a count-out halfway through, but jumped in at nine for a dramatic pop. For the finish, one of the Usos took a hot tag, followed by a suicide dive to Gallows on the outside and a splash to Anderson for the pin.

Austin Aries and NXT champion Samoa Joe cut a promo on Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura.

(2) Baron Corbin best Zack Ryder in 7:33 with the End of Days.

(3) Shinsuke Nakamura & Finn Balor beat NXT champion Samoa Joe & Austin Aries in 11:29 after a Kinshasa and Coup de Grace on Aries. The featured match from NXT marked the main roster debut for Nakamura and Aries (do you count Joe vs. Essa Rios in 2001 on Jakked?). Nakamura was out last and fans were chanting for him before his entrance and all throughout the best. The finest professional wrestling contest of the evening.

(4) Jack Swagger beat Viktor in 7:39 with an anklelock.

Seth Rollins cut promo. Just him being on the screen garnered the first true main roster Superstar reaction of the night. Rollins mentioning Dean Ambrose induced another Superstar reaction.

(5) Cesaro beat Alberto Del Rio in 11:52 with the neutralizer. A very good match.

(6) Bayley from NXT & Sasha Banks & Summer Rae beat Natalya & Dana Brooke & Eva Marie in 10:11 when Sasha made Eva tap with the Bank Statement. Huge pop for Bayley when she came out last. The crowd was shocked in a good way. Loud “Hey, we want some Bayley” chants once she was tagged in. Loud “We Want Sasha” chants during the match. You can tell Bayley and Sasha have an amazing personal friendship by their interactions in the ring and post-match.

(7) The Shining Stars (Primo & Epico) beat The Prime Time Players (Titus O’Neil & Darren Young) in about 13 minutes with a roll-up. The Players reunited for this tag match. The Puerto Ricans asked in Spanish where the Boricuas were and got a big response. Semi-loud “Puerto Rico” chants to start.

WrestleMania 33 hype video for Orlando played. Massive “Yes!” chants.

(8) WWE World Hvt. champion Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins in 18:06 with Dirty Deeds to retain the WWE World Title. The match was originally advertised as Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, but with Reigns suspended, Ambrose pulled double duty tonight. Ambrose opened the simultaneous Jacksonville house show at 7:00 p.m. and closed the Orlando show with the main event beginning at 9:30 after a two-hour drive. Massive pops for both entrances with Dean getting a slightly louder one. The match was just as good as the NXT tag match.
