WWE’s Summerslam Weekend getting started in Chicago

WWE’s Summerslam Weekend will get started in Chicago with a big gathering of WWE stars at “Wizard World” Chicago August 18-20.

John Cena headlines the group of main roster WWE stars scheduled for the Comic Con. Also scheduled is current WWE World Hvt. champion Dean Ambrose.

“We’re very excited to have such a large group of incredibly talented WWE® Superstars attending Wizard World Chicago,” said John Maatta, CEO of Wizard World in a press release. “The addition of these world-class athletes to Chicago’s already impressive lineup of stars from film, television, comics, and more will give fans a unique and exciting experience, and shows Wizard World’s commitment to including all forms of pop culture entertainment at its shows.”

After Wizard World announced their Summerslam Weekend line-up in Chicago, WWE announced that “Summerslam Meet & Greets” will take place in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Aug. 19 and 20.

Headliners for the NYC gathering include Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, A.J. Styles, New Day, Kevin Owens, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks.

Thursday, August 18

• 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.: Seth Rollins
• 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Sasha Banks

Friday, August 19

• 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.: Becky Lynch
• 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.: John Cena
• 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.: Dean Ambrose

Saturday, August 20

• 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Nikki & Brie Bella
