7/5 TNA Impact Viewers – how did “Final Deletion” fare?

TNA got a one-week “pop” for their “Final Deletion” Impact episode Tuesday night.

July 5: TNA Impact’s solo airing drew 410,000 viewers, up 27 percent from 322k last week.

It was the most Tuesday night viewers in three-and-a-half months dating back to 430,000 total viewers on March 15 for a semi-live Impact episode split into live and replay.

  • Jan. 19: 443,000 viewers
  • Jan. 26: 442,000 viewers
  • Mar. 15: 430,000 viewers
  • July 5: 410,000 viewers
  • Feb. 2: 407,000 viewers

– DEMOGRAPHICS: This week’s Impact drew a median age viewer 48.5 years-old, tied with the January episodes for the second-youngest audience the show has drawn this year.

It was the fourth out of 27 episodes this year that has fallen in the desired 18-49 window.

As a result, the show drew a strong adults 18-49 audience, improving 79 percent on last week.

Within the a18-49 audience, the split was 63 percent males 18-49 and 37 percent females 18-49.

The only problem with a rating like this is that there will be pressure to duplicate it, which will likely result in more of these Garbage Wrestling matches that won’t have nearly the buildup this one had. Then we’re back in the hardcore days of the late ’90s with guys shortening their careers for little or no reason.
