SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

TNA Impact is moving to Thursday nights starting Thursday, July 21 on Pop TV. This answers WWE Smackdown moving from Thursdays to Tuesdays the same week.

The final Tuesday night edition of Impact will be this Tuesday, July 12 with a semi-live edition of “Destination X” Impact. The show is headlined by Bobby Lashley vs. Eddie Edwards for the TNA Hvt. Title and X Division Title.

Impact will then move to Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. EST (an hour earlier than on Tuesday nights).

TNA is advertising a “supersized extended episode” on July 21, including the start of a “Bound for Glory Playoff.” It appears TNA will attempt a tournament similar to the Bound for Glory Series. The BFG Playoff – featuring Drew Galloway, Matt Hardy, and Ethan Carter III – will determine the #1 contender to the TNA Title.

TNA Impact previously aired on Thursday nights during the Spike TV era before bouncing around the weekly schedule.

As part of the timeslot change, Pop TV introduced a vulgar marketing campaign “Move Your S—” or “Pack Your S—” attempting to create awareness.
