SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Bob Backlund and Iron Shiek are historically tied at the hip from Shiek ending Backlund’s four-year WWWF/E Title reign in 1983. Now, they are getting back together for a live podcast during the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame weekend later this month in Waterloo, Iowa.
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum announced Thursday an “historic opportunity to witness two professional wrestling icons being interviewed live for a podcast.”
PWTorch editor Wade Keller, who was recognized with the 2015 Jim Melby journalism award at last year’s Hall of Fame weekend, will host the podcast. Keller is filling in for Jim Ross, who has a scheduling conflict.
The live podcast is scheduled for Friday, July 22 at 2:30 p.m. at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. Cost to enter the podcast is $20.
