– WWE set up Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” special on August 20.

The tapings included a pullapart brawl between Joe and Nakamura.

– The NXT Women’s Title match in Brooklyn will be Asuka vs. Bayley. They had a contract signing at the tapings to hype their match.

– The NXT Tag Title match in Brooklyn will be The Revival vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa.

– Bobby Roode made his official NXT TV in-ring debut for a promo setting up a Takeover match against Andrade “Cien” Almas.

– Kota Ibushi, currently in the Cruiserweight tournament, made his official NXT in-ring debut.

– Hideo Itami returned to NXT TV from injury.

– Santana Garrett returned to NXT for a women’s match against Billie Kay.
