SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

A typical summer-time Texas Thunderstorm temporarily knocked out power at Monday’s Raw TV taping in Corpus Christi.

WWE announced that power was lost at the American Bank Center during the TV production set-up on Monday afternoon, forcing wrestlers and production staff to work in the dark or “by candlelight.”

WWE said power was eventually restored at the arena, allowing for the production team to resume the set-up process and allow fans in the building when doors open.

South Texas and Louisiana have been battered by rain and thunderstorms over the past week. Corpus Christi is on the Texas coast-line near the Gulf of Mexico, producing excessive rainfall during the heat of the summer. There is an 80 percent chance of rain Monday night during the Raw TV taping for that typical exterior shot of the building.
