SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Former WWE star C.M. Punk is officially one day away from his UFC debut fight after making weight at Friday’s UFC 203 weigh-in.

Punk checked in at 170 pounds Friday in Cleveland. His opponent, Mickey Gall, weighed 170.5 pounds to match up with Punk in their welterweight division fight.

Punk vs. Gall is slotted for the top-third of Saturday’s fight card. Two heavyweight division fights are slotted in the co-main event spots.

Punk noted in interviews this week that he had a difficult time cutting his weight to make the 170-pound mark. Punk stepped on the scale Friday morning looking very different than what wrestling fans are accustomed to from his WWE career.
