9/11 “Ballers” HBO series draws fewer than 1.0 million viewers

It appears regular viewers forgot about The Rock’s “Ballers” HBO show, as Season 2 returned from a one-week hiatus to draw fewer than 1.0 million viewers. The football-themed drama was also against Week 1 of the NFL’s Sunday Night Football series.

Ballers Viewership Tracking

September 11: Week 8 of “Ballers” drew 867,000 viewers, reports TVBytheNumbers, down 14.5 percent from the August 28 episode.

It was a season and series low for Ballers for the second consecutive airing.

Ballers has averaged 1.211 million viewers in Season 2, down 31 percent from the first eight weeks of Season 1 last summer.

  • July 17: 1.585 million first-run viewers
  • July 24: 1.278 million
  • July 31: 1.266 million
  • Aug. 7: 1.146 million
  • Aug. 14: 1.210 million
  • Aug. 21: 1.324 million

  • Sept. 4: No airing on Labor Day Weekend
  • Sept. 11: 867,000 viewers
