SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Cesaro understandably wasn’t pleased that he was left off a poster for a tour in Switzerland. He wrote: “When you can’t even make it onto the poster for the show in your home country… #2swiss #2tearsinabucket” Maybe he’s just TOO SWISS to make it onto the post? Sin Cara also expressed similar disappointment when a promotional poster came out for the Mexico tour and he wasn’t included. Noteworthy is that ROamn Reigns is front and center on the Mexico poster, with current Universal Champion Kevin Owens in the background around one-forth the size. New Day, Rusev, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Seth Rollins are also included.

-Here’s a fascinating glimpse at Vince McMahon circa 1985 which was a BBC story on the WWF including an interview with a subdued, almost lethargic Vince McMahon filmed inside his office in Connecticut before “Titan Tower” was built several years later. He was using the term “sports entertainment” back then. “The wrestling business, it’s a question of two or more individuals going out to the ring wrestling, having a little bit of applause or what have you from the audience, and it’s time to go home until the next match,” he said. ” That’s not really what we do. We’re in the Sports Entertainment business, and there’s a huge philosophical business over being strictly in the wrestling business and being in the sports entertainment business, as we are.” He said in response to a New York lawyer trying to get the WWF banned: “You don’t see knives, you don’t see guns, you don’t see rapes. You don’t see anything else like that. It’s a very wholesome, family-oriented environment.” NBC Sports executive Dick Ebersol talks about Vince scripting the matches and the outcomes. BBC ran this clip on Twitter as part of their “On This Day” series going back to Nov. 26, 1985. Vince McMahon didn’t do very many interviews at all during the first several years he was running the WWF.

-WWE is promoting Raw this way at WWE.com: “Monday Night Raw emanates from Charlotte, N.C., where Charlotte Flair defends the Raw Women’s Championship in her birthplace and namesake city against Sasha Banks. Will Flair keep her crown in this Queen City showdown? Also on Raw, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson look to keep Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day from becoming the longest-reigning tandem titleholders in history.”

-East Coast Wrestling Association is running their annual “Toys for Tots” benefit show next Saturday, Dec. 3 in Woodbury Heights, N.J. at the Community Center starting at 7 p.m. including Azrieal vs.”Hybrid” Sean Carr  in an ECWA Hvt. Title match. More info HERE.
