Nicolle Bass, perhaps most famous for being introduced as Sable’s bodyguard in the WWF in 1999, died Friday night after being taken off life support. She was also a frequent guest on The Howard Stern Show.

She had suffered a heath emergency that led a heart attack and was then put on life support earlier in the week. There were some premature reports that she had already died based on her girlfriend posting she had died on Twitter. ProWrestlingSheet.com reports that her girlfriend considered her dead once she was brain dead.

Despite being declared brain dead, she was kept on life support while family and friends had time to arrive and be with her before she was taken off life support.

She was a bodybuilder dating back to the mid-1980s. She debuted in ECW in 1998, and then the WWF in 1999, and later made appearances for XPW and other public appearances based on her celebrity from her days on national pro wrestling TV shows.

Sean “X-Pac” Waltman commented on Nicolle Bass on his podcast, saying that she had struggled in recent years after the death of her husband. “They had a really codependent relationship,” he said. “They really needed each other.”
