4/13 NXT in Venice, Fla.: Nixon Newell debuts, Shayna Baszler vs. Candice LeRae for the NXT Women’s Title, Street Profits, Ricochet, Lio Rush

A decent-sized crowd in Venice for the show on a Friday. Venice usually gets Saturday dates.

(1) Ricochet pinned Chad Lail at 6:28.

(2) Vanessa Borne & Reina Gonzlaez defeated Steffanie Newell & Dakota Kai when Gonzalez pinned Newell with a roll-up, using the tights for leverage, at 8:18. Nixon Newell went by her real name here in her NXT debut.

(3) Christopher Dijak beat Mars at 6:06 with a big boot.

(4) Kassius Ohno pinned Brennan Williams with the rolling elbow at 7:10.

(5) The Street Profits downed TM61 at 13:55 when Montez Ford pinned Nick Miller with a splash off the top rope.

(6) Buddy Murphy defeated Lio Rush w/Babatunde at 12:50 with Murphy’s Law.

(7) Fabian Aichner w/Marcel Barthel beat Jeet Rama at 2:41 with a side slam.

(8) War Raiders outlasted Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch at 10:20 when Burch was pinned following a double-team springboard clothesline into a German suplex.

(9) Shayna Baszler retained her NXT Women’s Championship over Candice LeRae via submission at 9:37. Numerous referees came out when Baszler refused to break the hold. Eventually, Kai and Newell came out to run Baszler off. Gonzalez and Borne came out to attack the babyfaces, but they ended up hitting their finishers on Borne, with all three of LeRae, Kai, and Newell standing tall at the end.
