WWE LIVE EVENT REPORT
APRIL 22, 2018
CHATANOOGA, TENN.
REPORT BY ADAM HIGGINS, PWTORCH CORRESPONDENT

(1) The Bludgeon Brothers bat The Usos and The New Day to retain the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Titles.

(2) Sin Cara beat Shelton Benjamin. They are booking Benjamin as a heel here.

(3) Naomi beat Lana. Lana didn’t too half bad here, which was surprising. She did a good job of getting heal heat out of the crowd.

(4) Randy Orton & Jeff Hardy beat Rusev & Aiden English. They are continuing to book Rusev as a heel although he was getting a lot of pops and crowd attention.

(5) Tye Dillinger beat Big Cass. Tye was working Cass’s knee in the match which I found odd for a babyface.

(6) Carmella beat Becky Lynch and Charlotte when Carmella pinned Becky to retain the Smackdown’s Women’s Title. Carmella basically let the others wrestle the match and ran in when necessary.

(7) A.J. Styles beat Shinsuke Nakamura after a low-blow, so Styles retained the WWE Title. A.J. was REALLY over tonight, but people were continuing to cheer Nakamura too.

FINAL NOTES: We sat 4th row from the ring next to the entrance. We paid around $100 each for our seats. The Mckenzie arena is small anyway, but there were a lot of empty seats… The event started at 5 p.m. ET and ended about 7:15.
