WWE signs Io Shirai and Deonna Purrazzo to contracts, details on Shirai’s final Stardom appearance, Purrazzo’s expected timeframe to report to the WWE PC

-WWE has signed two of the top female talents in the world. Io Shirai, long considered the ace of Stardom in Japan, has signed a contract with WWE according to Tokyo Sports on May 28. According to Casey Michael of SquaredCircleSirens.com, Sharai was first contacted by WWE in October of 2016. During medical testing, a heart issue was discovered and her contract was taken off the table by WWE last June. Her final show in Stardom has been announced for June 17.

-Deonna Purrazzo has also been signed by WWE to a NXT contract according to a report by Casey Michael of SquaredCircleSirens.com. Purrazzo was a big part of the reboot of ROH’s Women of Honor division over the course of the last few years. She was also considered by most to be the top female talent on the indies. Earlier this year, Purrazzo signed a short-term non-exclusive deal with Ring of Honor. According to Squared Circle Sirens, Purrazzo will report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida in a few weeks.

In addition to her work in the WOH division, Purrazzo is most prominently known for her performances in Beyond Wrestling and Women’s Wrestling Revolution.
