SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Ruby Riott missed Raw last night because she injured her left knee at a WWE live event over the weekend, according to WWE.com. She was scheduled for an MRI yesterday, but there’s no update on her condition and if she’ll miss substantial ring time.

-Bray Wyatt was in a head-on collision last Friday, thus he missed live events over the weekend and Raw last night. He spoke to TMZ and said he’ll live. “I’m gonna live through it because I can’t die,” he said. His car was totaled. He has been released from the hospital and said he is moving around. There’s no timetable for his return. He is the current WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. (WWE strips wrestlers of titles if they are too injured to defend titles, but not if they just contractually drive a hard bargain and choose not to.)

-Impact Wrestling has announced that their Slammiversary event on July 22 will be carried exclusively by FITE.tv in select international markets. It will mark the first time UK, Ireland, Australia, and other countries outside of the U.S. will have the chance to watch a Slammiversary event live and on-demand as a PPV. “Slammiversary will be one of the biggest events in our company’s history,” said Ed Nordholm, president of Impact Wrestling. “Through our partnership with FITE.tv, I am very excited that, for the first time ever, we can stream this monumental event live to our incredible fans all over the world, including the UK, ahead of our return at Wrestling MediaCon in September.” Slammiversary features Austin Aries defending the Impact World Title against Moose, Su Yung defends the Knockouts Championship against Madison Rayne, plus Johnny Impact (a/k/a John Morrison) and Taiji Ishimori are being advertised.
