SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE announced in its 2018 second quarter earnings report that WWE Network subscriptions dropped from 1.81 million as of Apr. 3 2018 to 1.74 million as of June 30. The 1.742 million is above the 1.633 million from one year ago on June 30, 2017. It’s not clear whether paid subscribers include people paying 99 cents for two or three months special offers (or other discounts that include “paying” at a deep discount), as opposed to full paid subscribers.

WWE lists 45,000 free trial subscribers, also.

The breakdown of current paid subscribers is 1.272 million in the U.S. and 470,000 internationally.
